The main issue with applying to jobs is the fact that the majority of the time, companies only allow you to apply online. They state that they don't want you to call or show up in person. It is almost impossible to distinguish yourself from the flood of other applicants because you aren't even able to show up in person and apply for a job.

It's even worse now, so bad that even if you have a 4.0 GPA, you need to abuse and spam the resumé search filter to make sure your resumé is on top, learn BS "interview skills" to make sure you stand out in the interview process, and you need to submit your High School GPA for some jobs, just to do entry level work a middle schooler could do.

I'm a self taught Software Developer. Never been to Uni, no student debt. I simply bought books from Amazon, taught myself programming, created my own projects and gained experience working on projects for IT companies for free. I have no regrets.

Companies are afraid to train people for positions. Why is it to receive an internship some want experience? That's nonsensical. Also don't forget geopolitics. It doesn't have to be like this. What happened to meritocracy? It was replaced with vouchsafes, quid pro quo, nepotism and croysm.

Even 4 year computer science degree is not enough to keep up with trends in tech, and a saturated job market.

Are uni degrees worth it ? I have two degrees and still cant find work. Education fails to give you the experience and life skills.

No. Parents and teachers have brainwashed people into thinking a degree is the ultimate goal

If you take a car that was manufactured 100 years ago and compare it to today's car you can clearly see it has evolved over time. If you look at the education system 100 years ago and compare it today's standards....ermm I don't really see much of a change. F**k the system.

You're suppose to get experience while in school and thats more than an internship one semester.

There was a time period where going to get a Uni degree was the right path but in the modern world most degees are akin to toilet paper.

This guy is a professional student. He would be better off getting a shovel in his hand and getting to work.
