ABOUT SMT. SAWANI SHENDE
Smt. Sawani Shende was introduced to Indian Classical Music at a tender age of six by her grandmother, Smt. Kusum Shende, a noted singer of the Kirana Gharana and an honoured artist of the Sangeet Natak Era. Sawani’s father, Dr.Sanjeev Shende, a disciple of Smt. Shobha Gurtu, has groomed her in semi classical genres like Thumri, Dadra, Kajri, etc. Quest for more knowledge in music brought her to learn under the expert guidance of Dr. Veena Sahasrabuddhe, a noted classical vocalist of Gwalior Gharana.
She is a performing artist of ICCR representing India in performing and promoting Hindustani Classical Music outside India.
She has many awards to her credit, some of which are: Swarasamrat Pt. Basavaraj Rajguru Yuva Puraskar - 2019, Sangeet Natak Academy - Ust. Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar - 2018, Maharashtra Govt. State Award for the Best Playback Singer for the Marathi film “Asehi Ekda Vhave” in 2018, “Aditya Birla Kala Kiran Puraskar” at the hands of Governor of Maharashtra in 2017.
She has performed in many prestigious concerts such as Harivallabh Music Festival - Jalandhar (2017), Sawai Gandharva Music Festival - Pune (2010 and 2018), Vishnu Digambar Jayanti Samaroh - Delhi, Tansen Sangeet Sammelan - Gwalior, Sangeet Research Academy - Kolkata, Kesarbai Kerkar Sangeet Sammelan, Kala Academy - Goa, Pt. Kumar Gandharva Festival - Dewas.
She is proud to represent India in the World Album “Awakening-Beyond” and BEYOND “Love Within” where various singers are representing their own culture and country for spreading love and peace all over the world. The albums were released in Dec 2017 and May 2014 by Beyond Music & Universal Music Company respectively.
ABOUT SHRI CHARUDATTA PHADKE
Shri Charudatta Phadke had his initial lessons from Shri Govindrao Majgaonkar and Shri Rajarambapu Jadhav. Currently he is under the tutelage of Taalyogi Padmashri Pt. Suresh Talwalkar.
He has accompanied maestros like Pt. Jasraj, Pt. Birju Maharaj, Pta. Rohini Bhate, Ustad Shahid Parvez, Pt. Ronu Mujumdar and Guru Pt. Suresh Talwalkarji in various concerts in india and abroad like U.S.A., Canada, Germany, Australia, Singapore, Romania etc.
He is a gold medallist in M.A. MUSIC and holds a B-High grade in All india Radio.
ABOUT SHRI SUYOG KUNDALKAR
Shri Suyog Kundalkar, a renowned Harmonium player, is the disciple of Smt. Ranjana Godse and Dr. Arawind Thatte. He is also a keen student of vocal music. He has accompanied many Stalwarts like Gaanasaraswati Kishori Amonkar (for 17 years), Swaryogini Dr. Prabha Atre, Smt. Malini Rajurkar, Pt. Rajan-Sajan Mishra, Pt. Ulhas Kashlkar, Ust. Rashid Khan, Dr. Ashwini Bhide-Deshpande, Smt. Devaki Pandit, Pt. Raghunandan Panshikar, Pt. Anand Bhate. He has performed as a soloist all over India and abroad. He has received many awards like Ust. Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar by Sangeet Natak Academy, Gaanasaraswati Sangatkar Puraskar at the hands of Gaanasaraswati Kishori Amonkar, Pt. Govindarao Tembe Sangtkar Puraskar.
He has composed many Bandishes in various Raags and the collection of his Bandishes 'Raagchitra' has been published in 2015.

I am sorry to record the observation that with modern make up of lipstick and loose hair, coupled with age, she has lost the act of innocent cuddling with the raga and the facial charm of raga interpretation. Along with that to some extent the melody too.
If you are focusing more on her makeup and hairstyle than her marvellous singing than that’s your problem!!!
