Ok I could probably write an essay about this but I really believe one of the reasons Bon Appétit's channel blew up in the last few years is not only because of the amazing production team and the amazing food editors but because of their kindness. They all work so well together and have infinitely wonderful things to say about each other. It's like one big happy family and even the little inside jokes, etc just feel like sibling rivalries. It's wholesome and giving and loving in all the right ways and I think we need more of that in our world. XO
Latinos usually say, a way to a mans heart is through their stomach. I guess that saying applies to everyone, which explains why this show is full of love, laughter, and is so wholesome to watch. It makes me feel like I’m apart of their family too

2 Cups water, lukewarm
4 oz butter, melted slightly cooled
1 Tbsp Kosher Salt
1 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
6 Cups all-purpose Flour, plus more for surface

Reason no one makes them in Argentina is because you can buy the dough ready to fill at most grocery shops and they're great quality. I do appreciate the recipe though as I live in Thailand and I miss the empanadas from back home

Plus, if you're making different fillings it's pretty time consuming. I always buy pre made dough and I only do 1 or 2 fillings. Otherwise, it's a lot of work.

Yeah I love that she explains. Actually most of the BA staff are good at explaining why they do what they do in a recipe which is a bit of a rarity online when people tend just be like do this thing because I said so.

People who cook for their jobs develop calluses that make it possible to touch very hot things for short periods of time. I worked in a kitchen and I'm still able to do it somewhat.
She is Argentinian, we develope inmunity to hot empanadas burns as we grow up 😎

This is so funny because we never measure anything and her face when she said that in the BA kitchen they ARE OBSESSED with measurements and timing is so relatable. My mom always uses 'a bit' of that or a 'lot of' but the term grams or kilos is foreign inside her kitchen.
