  • Even though the user manual and the machine itself already explain how to do this, I decided to still make a video about it!

    hi. thank you for the very informative video.
    I also had trouble with vacuum. is piercing a bigger hole through the little circular "airvent" above the spring outlet of the empty/used ultraphase cartridges do the trick?
    also, how much volume does the rinse use? I have marked before and after and it only moved down by 2 cm or so....is that normal?
    and thirdly, when I move that same rinsing cartridge along to rinse phase 2 side, it tells me that there is an insufficient amount of detergent? when all it needs is about "2 cm" of water?
    your response will be sooo handy. thanks in advance.

I'm also thinking about buying a Miele like this but I have the feeling that I will not use Twin Dos so often.OK,I know I can use my own liquid detergent and conditioner with the dispensers but does it really worth buying it? Or has it any features the other Mieles do not have? I know Miele is a "long -lasting beast" but it is also said that the more a machine can do the more it must be repaired.Or it is exeptional with Miele? :)

      hey! my family gas had Miele twin dos for i think 6/7 yrs now. Never had a repair, although i should mention that we weren't using the twin dos system. But im now interested to see the full potential. I read that the twin dos calculates how much liquid it needs according to the hardness of water and more so it can save some detergent. I think the machine is good for everyday use and ill see how quickly i can figure all the good stuff about it and i think it will work even better! ( i know im a year late:) and sorry if my english is broken:D)

    • @mieleguy1600

      Sadly in USA you can only use UltraPhase. Not only because the refill containers are not available in USA but also because there is no option to select any other detergent than UltraPhase in the settings on the machine.

      yes you can use your own detergents. just drill a tiny hole and refill using a funnel. or you can push a chopstick into the bottle and pour your own deterrent that way but it’s too cumbersome. drilling a similar size hole on the side of the bottle is what i did. bottle on left i refill with Tide and bottle on the right i refill with oxiclean revive white liquid. the bottle is inserted flat, make sure you drill hole on side that is NOT touching the ground (mimicking as the video where the yellow cap is on the side not touching the floor)

      @@mieleguy1600 it makes the noise but no water is taken from the container. I tried hot water but seems to be well clogged. This is the first time I do this ever since I bought my machine. I've had it for almost 5 to 6 years. Never crossed my mind to clean it. Lately noticed nothing was being drained from the containers so I looked up your video. I tried several times the rinse but only the second compartment empties. First one stays intact. By vacuum what do you mean? Thank you for responding.

    • @mieleguy1600
      @mieleguy1600  Před 3 lety +1

      @@randomgecko452 by vacuum I mean that there is no air in the dispenser. If there is no air in the dispenser, the machine can't dispense detergent. It really sounds like the hose is clogged.. in this case you need to remove the front panel and remove the hose and clean it manually with a brush or something. Then you should be good to go. I recommend to clean the system everytime you put a new, full dispenser in it.

    miele detergents for phase 1 and 2 have a specific density, the commercial liquid detergents have thicker density, which will cause in the future build up in the twindos system with the end result clogged pipes. When you buy a high end product, you have to follow the recommendations of the company, buying appliance from the best and most expensive appliance company in the world and use inferior products, will only cause problems.
