The insight here from Mrs Hurley is really great, and helps add perspective to the life behind college coaches. This is especially true for out of control disrespectful fans. It is sad that the trolls always ruin things for everyone else. UConn has had an amazing season. As far as being a villain, I think many looked at Coach K at Dook that way, and I'm sure he didn't care and even used it as motivation.
When we played Iona all my friends & family were saying it was a terrible draw playing Pitino. I told them all it doesn't matter who we play, we were going big because we weren't going home! I had Faith in Dan & the guys, I'm soooo proud of what Dan has accomplished. Like I said, didn't matter who we played. Dan also takes complete responsibility for everything his team does or doesn't do, no other Coach goes on National TV & owns it! Go Huskies!
Fact: Providence is the coldest place in the country. Feel better. ABOUT THE SOCKS THOUGH; My husband had a lucky shirt like your husband's holey holy socks! I finally bought a not-ratty-with-age one in the same style and color and hung them next to one another in the closet - he chose up for clean for our little daughter's sake. 😀 ......NO, get the holey socks cleaned and FRAME them with a small placque and perhaps a photo that includes the bucket moment, explaining the odd array! And from now on NEW SOCKS for every game....so much better in every way! People will be sending you socks now! ( I learned to jog after having been suddenly widowed and I saved my lucky socks but do not wear them....germy.
Our First Lady and God do we love her. Andrea is the best. We’re so lucky to have her right there behind our fearless leader. God is she a piece of work in a really great way.

Providence is a dump so not surprised. And she’s right about some UConn ‘fans’ Some of us grew up in the early 90’s Calhoun days and saw the team through ups and downs. You take the good years and appreciate them. But people were crapping on Hurley after the first half against Iona and now they learned to shut up and sit home and enjoy the team.
