  • We drove up to North Georgia and camped at Vogel State Park outside of Blairsville, GA. The first day we hiked 10 miles on the Coosa Backcountry Trail. The second day we drove into the cute down of Helen and got some German food and beer and finished off with a short hike to a waterfall. The third day was spent hiking at Tallulah Gorge. Even through we missed the peak leaf color change, everything was still so beautiful. Can't wait to go back again.

    Vinny says he hates it when your camping and have to go to the bathroom and you see a bear ahead of you with a newspaper under his arm !

    Just curious, I just ordered a Range Runner and I am considering an awning option. I am not sure if I want a batwing or standard. I see that it looks like you also have an awning but you use an easy up in most of your videos. Is that to cover more area for cooking and sitting around ? We also have a clam shelter 12x12 with our current setup, but are considering downsizing to the 9x9 to save weight and space. When do you use the awning vs the easy up?

    • @GloriousDayAdventures
      @GloriousDayAdventures  Před 4 lety

      Bobby Keelyn We got the awning from Runaway but to be honest, we haven’t used it yet. We have a 13x13 easy up so it covers most of the Runaway and gives us the shade for cooking and sitting around. We think covering the runaway may keep it a little cooler from the hot Florida sun too.

    Looks like fun. I have a question. Do you pull the runaway with Subaru Forester? I have 2018 forester and am thinking of gettin runaway. But uncertain about how it will tow. Thanks for great videos

    • @GloriousDayAdventures
      @GloriousDayAdventures  Před 4 lety

      Yes, the Forester has no trouble pulling it. The newer Runaways are lighter so you could go with the Range Runner size for the same weight we are pulling the Cool Camp.

    Did y'all have a heater in your little runaway camper?

    • @GloriousDayAdventures
      @GloriousDayAdventures  Před 4 lety +1

      Marcia Watts Yes, thank goodness cause it gave us a little bit of warmth throughout the night and we were perfectly warm.

      @@GloriousDayAdventures that's good to hear. I'm considering buying a Runaway camper someday and I wondered if they were hard to heat.

    • @GloriousDayAdventures
      @GloriousDayAdventures  Před 4 lety +1

      @@cia1204 We just had a little ceramic space heater and had to keep it on fairly low. Because of the small space, it heats up very quickly. We also had to crack the windows slightly to reduce condensation. We love our Runaway!

    • @GloriousDayAdventures
      @GloriousDayAdventures  Před 4 lety

      Scott McKenzie Hi! It’s a Runaway 4x8 Cool Camp. We love it! Small, but it’s all we need since we prefer to stay outside most of the time anyway.
