My buddy and I placed 2nd last year in Missouri in Quest Hunt Co. It was a blast and an honor!
The banquet and entire weekend is an experience of its own, and joining just adds a whole new wrinkle into the whitetail hunting world. We have already signed up for this year's competition. Can't wait for the chance to go again!

Johnson grass is the worst. I have so much of it in kansas and it will outgrow anything you plant and no matter how much you spray gly it comes back in two weeks. I tried Poast and it works a little better but not safe for corn. Best results is having to hit it twice when it first comes up in late may and again mid june will slow it down some. Good luck trying to keep it under control.
Don Higgens has one side of his property high fenced. He also does recommend high fence for his consulting clients with bad neighbors..
The problem with using too much gly, or whatever, is the sooner the wild plants adapt and even use it. Then the plants will take over, even grow in your nostrils! Hahaha!

I think this is cool idea while I'll never enter because of where I hunt (Virginia) isn't know for giants. In my area our mature bucks are generally 140-165 at 5 years old and the occasional 185+ but those are rare. I remember back when i first started bow hunting in the 80's our local archery shop had a big buck pool with a $5 entry fee. My second season I actually had the largest buck, lol, a 2 year old 6 point. Keep up the good work guys and i throughly enjoy the podcast.
Yes you need enlist beans and then you can spray 24D. Marestail Is resistant to Gly.
Definitely relating with the sprayer breakdowns. My fimco sprayer has had an issue every time I’ve used it this year. Bought last year.
Man I’m so frustrated with that thing. Such a critical piece of equipment too

These competitions only hurt our reputation as hunters...I have hunted deer for 30 years and see no benefit in these big deer competitions..Between this and baiting it only hurts us in the long run.Great podcast like always..cheers 🍺🍻
What broadheads are you 2 using again?
Seems a lot of hunters these days are more excited about their online hero post than they are about the hunt and are willing to bender or break rules and laws to do it. Those are the guys that just want their buck and are relieved when they don't have to hunt anymore. These are the takers and are about themselves not about the herd or the habitat. Coyote hunting contests are even worse.

9:38 ew plastic threading is horrible, think you can get a helicoil to run into the plastic threads? It would change your screw size but be way sturdier
