Good one. Like the noodling over different inversions up/down the neck. It's fun, informative, helps learn the fretboard, and builds soloing skills. You Rock! Hello to Brian. Can't wait to see his photos of this adventure. I'm enjoying your summer. Thanks for sharing.
We were in Cuttyhunk harbor. Really a dramatic storm, not much sleep was had! Bryan got up in the wee hours of the morning to pull in the dinghy which was submerged up to the top, and bail out the water. Thanks again and we'll keep you posted. Muriel
They are interconnected and one helps you find the other. That's the premise of the All Chords book. Just play around with the parts of the scale that fit around each chord.
Muriel, thanks for the noodles...having some fun with it.. this could help me with improving my improvising skills.....also love playing around with time sigs....changes the feel of a song....noodling with 6/8 feeling on BLueberry Hill. Stay safe.
Hope to get the old guitar out again someday. This is a good one to remember. I actually liked my 45 minutes of scales (way back) it’s fun to do variations. About 40 years ago I attended a sea chantry workshop Labor Day weekend at Mystic Seaport. They have very old recordings online. Very different
Great! Nice to hear from you. We sure enjoyed the shanties at the Sweet Chariot festival. It will be in an upcoming episode of czcams.com/users/acousticsailing
Hi again Muriel..i just thought I would tell you because you may be interested seeing as how you like different guitars, i play a different guitar too ..i run bass guitar strings E and A along with E and A guitar strings by using 12 string guitars modified...so it ends up an 8 string guitar..usually electric guitar...it has a big bottom end good for blues..boogie, and even Chets style ect ect ..just something a bit different.
Patterns within patterns. Cool!
Yeah - I'd like to hear more.
Good stuff.
Many thanks!

Muriel, thank you. I am a beginner, I find scales easy, of course without tempo or rhythm lol. But chords are so difficult.
