- Hello everybody! If you haven't noticed, we have taken a bit of a break from CZcams recently. Needless to say, we have been a little bit busy.
We sold our center console last year and we missed being on the water. We tried to find something reasonable on the market but, as most of you know, nothing is reasonable in the boating world right now. Carl had a fleeting idea, and well, if you know us... those ideas usually come to fruition. We started this build in mid April 2022 and completed it at the end of June 2022. It is constructed from Kingspan insulation foam, epoxy resin and fiberglass. It took at lot of work in a short amount of time but we believe it was absolutely worth it. Join us while we show how we tackled this crazy project. This is part 1 of a few parts on this mini cat series. Hope you enjoy!

This is awesome... I was thinking (aka dreaming) about building a catamaran as well as a foam kayak, but you guys have combined those ideas! Love it. Please share details on plans, build etc.

it probably won't sink, unless you try to ferry a car on it. why not EPS foam?
do you think it's possible to use the same method for a larger catamaran?
Anything is possible with proper engineering. We are also building a larger catamaran from prints using different building methods. Check out the rest of our channel. Thanks for watching 😊
