"Killing Jar" is a tense psychological thriller that captivates the viewer from the first minutes. The film's plot takes place in a remote drive-in café, where a mysterious stranger armed with a gun takes seven patrons hostage. At first glance, it seems that this is just another robbery attack, but as events unfold, it becomes obvious that everything is not so simple.
The viewer will be immersed in an atmosphere of tension and fear that engulfs both the hostages and their sinister captor. During the hostage situation, it becomes clear that each of the cafe's patrons has their own dark secrets and hidden motives. As the body count mounts, the survivors realize that one of the hostages may be even more dangerous than his captor.
The director creates a tense atmosphere in which every turn of events awaits the viewer with new unexpected discoveries. Each character has their own development arc, and many complex relationships between them are revealed.

It is Out Of Control as are ALL the other cities and countries that have fallen into the indigenous hands to run. Run Amok is about as good as they get. I watched this on a beautiful sunny Autumn day in New Zealand. Gods' Own Country, or as we call it, Godzone for the pristine air and EVERYTHING really, far away from the worlds wars and ills and pollution. One exception, years ago when the tree hugging Green Party were in coalition Govt with the Left some dang foo politician signed NZ up for $1 BILLION dollars per year fine for our Cows fart tax...FFS! I betya they were paid handsomely for the folly that is crippling needy services of finances here at home. Our cops don't carry guns either, unless there is an Armed Offenders callout. All committed by the same dynamic globally.

Excellent ! ! Michael Madsen . . . . . . is made for this role. I've had the mis-pleasure of knowing people like the person Madsen played and they displayed the same psychopathy. No empathy, no sympathy and an anger that they enjoyed pushing to higher levels.
Danny Trejo kind of exited the movie in a hurry. He's another actor that knows the edge.
Great movie, given the fact it all happens in such a small setting.

@@bradmckay8464 He got blown away by the shotgun guy. The shotgun was not in her pistol ammo count which was really cool spin. I may be dumb but I know how to count ... that leaves one for you BLAM. It would not matter much if she wiped the gun because the police would be looking for her automatically. Tons of locals knew she was the waitress there. Now she has the police and the crime people after her...not a relaxing life.

from the very OPENING scene(s) it was obvious as goose shyt that this is a "FINAL GIRL" flick (& it sho nuff wasn't gonna be that whiny little blond in the corner booth). i was SORT of hoping that DIXON & the waitress might leave TOGETHER but....well.
Turned out that she fooled everyone, she was waiting for her money.
If you’ve seen Reservoir dogs and kill Bill do you know Michael Madsen phenomenal actor one of the all time greats. I’ve seen it before but totally worth watching again.

For a movie shot on one set, I am truly impressed even though I figured it was the salesman because he looked upset after making the call, claiming he closed his sale, so why be upset?

Why would a hitman pose as a salesman but not have a gun, (or two), on him if he was there to get paid? I think the writer screwed that up. smh , I think the waitress should of been "Smith", it would make more sense for her to have a side job at the diner for her cover.
I knew it was him way too early, but besides that, it was well acted. I love that actor from OZ prison series. I recommend that if you like really good prison movies/shows! I love the ending to this!
Madsen so badass in some movies like reservoir dogs, yet so corny in others. Pretty fkn good in this one, even though I've never heard of it. The end's a little silly, but it's an all-around decent movie.
Only weakness in the movie : she did not wipe her finger prints off the gun: nor the knife; and I did not see where she got rid of her employment records. " It also rememded me of the " Clint Eastwood " Movie : did I fire -- 5 shots or 6 shots -- " do you feel lucky punk"?

Prints are only of any use in an investigation if they have already been lodged in the system, who’s to say that cook who was the owner even had her on file . The only thing the cops would have to go on is that someone would have to have walked away because smith never touched the gun so he didn’t shoot himself in the head and he was the last to die !
He even says "in all the excitement, i almost lost count myself..." give or take a few words.
I thought so too that she should have removed the fingerprints off the gun and knife but it's an even smarter move to get rid of her employment records. However the restaurant is probably full of her DNA either from hairs or fingerprints from other stuff she's touched working there.

A really great Michael Masden movie. RIP! All the other actors, were wonderful too. Great storyline, direction, and action. The end was a real twist, with the waitress , becoming a hero, in a way,at the end. She got the money, honey.
Great movie for a single diner bar set! I wonder what happened to the footage of the initial interrogation by the deputy on that kids video cam! That would reveal something to the Feds...
Yes it would, but she got in a car with the money and took off didn't she?........so won't the cops be looking for her? It should have ended with her putting the brief case in her car, coming back unlocking the handcuffs and then calling the cops so she tell her version of the story and then she would be clear.
the movie should have finished a cut to her talking to the cops in the diner with the suitcase missing.
