Being catholic is the best! I love Catholicism. There is this Protestant guy who I thought was my Godly friend, it turned out that he got distant and told me "he wishes I wasn't catholic" In my thought, he doesn't know what he means. The catholic faith is so wonderful. Many don't understand. Secretly, I hope he becomes catholic some day :P
In my short words,The sacrament of confirmation is being born again out of the Holy Spirit. It's like when Protestants say "born again"
Confirmation is confirming our faith on Jesus and we opt to say Jesus is our Savior and we opt to defend our faith. I love being catholic and hopefully the Lord will illuminate others to come and become detectives to know why we are catholic and become Catholics. :)
Please pray for our prospective soldiers of Christ that are receiving this special sacrament this year. Amen.
Thank you Jesus, you are beautiful! :3

hi, sister. i'm a protestant (presbyterian to be specific) and i am getting confirmed! my church is like catholicism in a lot of ways, we have communion, we have confirmation, etc. i'm sorry your friend sorta disrespected your faith like that. as long as you are not hateful towards others with a different walk with God (or lack thereof), i respect you and i think you're great. hope you have a wonderful day, and God bless you!

I’m now a Christian but was brought up as Catholic and I can honestly say that my confirmation day was one of the most life transforming experiences I’ve had along my Journey and beautiful personal relationship with my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I feel that’s when The Holy Spirit really came alive in me and my heart has been to serve God and reach out to the lost ever since. I know many Christian’s won’t understand this but I hold my confirmation name that was given to me that day as very precious 🙏🏼♥️

I’m Catholic and I get confirmed next Wednesday I’m really excited and also what do you mean you are now Christian, but that you were brought up as Catholic . Catholics are Christians, but not all Christians are Catholics . Christian just refers to being a follower of Christ.

When I first heard of the sacrament of confirmation and wanted to do it, I at first had doubts and was skeptical. But during the season of Lent, I had some help with a Catholic Priest and he helped me through the sacrament of reconciliation. And on Easter Vigil 2010, I made my confirmation and chose the name Michael. Named after Saint Michael the archangel. Was I nervous? A little bit. But either way, it was a success. Plus I have a Catholic devotion that’s dedicated to Saint Michael. The Chaplet of Saint Michael.

I miss hearing his voice during mass

Actually confirmation was a medieval practice whereby a bishop came around to "confirm" the de facto baptism given by the diocesan priest who, because a bishop could not be present for so many baptisms, performed the rite.

I much prefer the Orthodox view that keeps the sacraments in order. At least, it makes sense to me.

Upon my confirmation I was so excuse me. So High/Elated. Bishop Timothy Manning/Cardinal Manning and I had an interesting experience. Which had us both smiling. You may say what you will. However The Roman Catholic Faith has Deep Spirtual experieces. To mock our living Faith is to Mock your life. Hope through grace you wake up and Believe the Truth.

thisbrokenmachine as Catholics you can believe in evolution. God could have used any method to start life. I am Catholic yet I believe in evolution. Not all the bible is meant to be literal.
