I was pulled plenty of times by her during the 80's back and forth to school between Inverness (far northern line) and Tain (I went home at weekends), in the 1980's. Lovely to see something which serviced my school days restored and back to original health thanks to Boness Railway in Scotland (who restored her).
i watch the vids because they are memory's from my childhood ... Chester line from stockport went past the back garden and a stop signal at the same place and a runaway train sand trap was on the same line
Brings back memories of these pulling coal trains up and down the south wales valleys. Would sit on top of the Caerphilly tunnel shafts listening to them thunder through the tunnel
@@LaurieTheClass47 The little Scottish Terrier gives away that it was Scottish (it was based in Inverness during the 80's). I was pulled by her nearly every weekend. Mull of Kintyre and Mary Queen of Scots were used between Inverness and Thurso (more often than not) between 1983 and 1988 (when sprinters took over passenger services). They then went onto freight workings.
Always great to see those Class 37s doing their bit for the planet 😂

Music to my ears and eyes! 🤩 Brilliant acoustics too. Thanks for sharing 😃
So glad they held onto some Syphons as station pilots I do miss the old 40's though super whistlers!
