Well it could be worse by you spending money in a negative way, yea I’m sure my wife will blow a gasket when I start going tool wild. But I only have 4 crutches soon to be 5, I have dirts bikes, camping, drinking occasional whisky with my cigars……..soon to be welding & metal fabrication combine with my son in laws wood working skills…….should be a good time. Thanks Paul….
Maybe use craigslist and flip as much as you can to have your expenses met and maybe a little extra for the lady and family... start by getting something broken (for free?) and sell it after fixing.

I watch at 1.75x or 2x speed. That way I have time for MORR and Layton too.
@@shawnbrennan7526 Bold strategy, my man! Usually Robby posts about an hour earlier but Fab Rats and MORR are released almost simultaneously so I have to decide which to watch first. I’d be happier if Jefe (or whoever the editor is) gave us time to watch one before releasing the other. Too early here (6:00 am PST) for me to make important decisions!

I’m in the same boat fellas, I’m 60 and soon to retire from the fire department in 17 days, so March 1 will be my first day official R-day. 34 years in the Fire service & EMS. I’m already making my big tool list to purchase and start my list of projects. I like Paul’s & Matt’s recovery with their get ER-done attitude and work ethics, also their families get togethers. I was 9 years old. Sitting in a '66 CJ5 in a line of 100's of Jeeps outside Ouray, CO on Highway 550. It was the 4th of July and we were waiting for dusk for the parade into town to start. When the time came, Dad lit the flares attached to the front bumper, and turned on the CB. The voice that came out of the speaker was C.W. McCall - who was the Mayor of Ouray at the time. "We got ourselves a cooonvoy....." I bought that Jeep from my dad when I turned 18 and owned it almost 30 years. Dad and I both were into Jeeps until about 2 years ago - he called to ask if I wanted his lifted '00 TJ. At 83 he and Mom were having trouble getting in and out of it. That song and Jeeping will forever be linked in my mind...;)

Paul the excitement you have for going to KOH is the same excitement I have to come visit FabRats and beautiful Utah. I had been wondering for days now what was causing the FJ to fowl out the plugs but when you got that 408 off the truck I grew a permanent smile. I’m very happy you all made a safe trip. FabRats representing BF Goodrich is showing the Family’s hard work pay off. Can’t wait to see more.

Like the guy from Texas said”you have inspired me” and god knows I needed a kick in the ass! Every since I got shafted by my contractor for $88k then got hurt the next year and wbasically got selves for 10yr with surgeries and rehabilitation and watchin you and Matt have made me realize I need to chase my dreams(it’s never to late) and part of that dream includes building a couple rigs, one for play and one for work!

Jealousy Warning: Today I was passing through Kanab, Utah. I was walking around with my daughter when a classic car with Oregon plates pulls up to a gas station parking stall right by me. Out hops a guy and his daughter. Since I grew up in Oregon, I ask the guy where in Oregon he's from. I recognized the voice as soon as I heard him say "I just bought this from someone in Oregon"
I totally randomly bumped into Paul in Kanab, Utah. He was super nice, I didn't want to take much of his time because he seemed in a hurry. He was really friendly, down to earth and just an overall good dude! Paul, It was a pleasure bumping into you! Thanks for the great content.

You really only need three cylinders on a small block to get the job done… as long as it’s the right three and cylinder number one is firing. 😂 But it sure is nice to have eight good holes when you need the power on tap.

Been watching Hammer for a few years now. Now the wife wants to drive out there and run the coarse after everyone left, just to see how crazy it is.

Going in blind to work on stuff. Reminds me of the late 1980's and mid 1990's configuring computers for customers. Installing memory, hard drives were much different then. They were on computer boards that had to be switched around. Just fun times in the old desktop world back then.

King of the Hammers is awesome. It’s like a rave for off-roaders. We went the last 2 year’s. Barely finished a rock lizard buggie build hours before we left for CA from WA. There’s so much to do there. Wish we could have gone this year and seen y’all, Matt and Rory. I bet it was cold as usual.
I have a picture of my two young sons and I at The Hammers from about 20 years ago, the one and only time I was ever there. We had a great time.
Hey Paul, I thought the motor in the FJ was new. Was there s part we missed? I know the motor wasn't running great but 45 PSI out of two cylinders is... ouch.. that's bad.

I don't think Paul is even old enough to know that song, "Convoy." I think that is by C.W. McCall. "It was the dark of the moon on the 6th of June and a Kenworth haulin' hogs. Cab-over-heels with a reefer on, and a Jimmy hauling logs. Paul can't be rubber duck, he has to have a hood ornament on the truck that is a rubber duck that gets shot up at the end. There was considerable trucks in that movie. Great video!
I live in Alaska and do a lot of driving off road and on the beach. I have a trick for propane bottles. If you put them in milk crates it prevents them from tipping over in the back of the truck and helps to tie them down.
I enjoy reading the comments, mostly great of course and rightfully so…Fab Rats is an excellent channel. It teaches humility, caring, compassion and above all honesty! That’s why I love your channel, anyone that disagrees can go fly a kite! Lol! as a few of your followers have said, I feel like I’m right there with you in all your adventures, that’s the magic of you guys. Your comfortable mannerism, and how you talk to the camera, allows us to enjoy that experience right along with you. it’s my way of camping, (Glamping after I saw your RV…My god! Beautiful) learning how to weld, just about anything, and I’m learning how to enjoy life, as paul said, it’s not perfect, but it’ll do. I wish I could have lived my earlier life like that…Michelle, you have a beautiful voice, you can strike up a tune anytime in my book. Cause you can definitely carry a tune! More singing! And Randall, I haven’t heard much from you lately. I hope the comment about you that was negative hasn’t affected you. You can’t let it. Those negative people can just take a long walk off a short pier. You were just a new voice that we had not heard before. Like any person new, in school, at work, in a social gatherings, the new person has to allow for that difficulty of fitting in. So as the wheel has now turned around many times you now have found your spot and are clearly a welcome member to the Fab Rats family. Your perspective is important to my enjoyment of this channel and I encourage you to think out loud a bit more.
