She knew the question. The real answer is 'I was tired of trying. I did not want to work on my marriage anymore'. At the end of the day she exhibited selfishness. She has now ignorantly opened herself up to a host full of even more emotional pain in the future.

From what I understand, as kids they were sheltered in a Christian home. So, their experience with hard times and bad relationships was not the same as others. Therapy does not ruin people. As a training Clinical Psychologist I see that therapy allows people to choose there own options. All a therapist can do is show both sides of issues and people choose what they want based on there own life. However, I will say that a marriage takes two and all I heard her say is “I”. I do agree that some therapists really do feed into following “ones” feelings instead of logic. Instead what one should be focusing on is there own issues within themselves and fixing there own self and problems and not focusing on someone else.
Also, bro there is nothing wrong with talking about your emotions or being emotionally intelligent. Does not mean you are “soft” or a “Beta Male” but means you can be aware of your own thoughts and emotions and learning how to control when necessary.

This was bound to happen. In their old interview he emphasized that she did everything and that she was always encouraging him. She talked about how she loved him so much and how he was a part of her, but they didn’t talk about him uplifting her or helping her or being a great father to their children.

The shallow reasons that she is giving is one of the main causes of men opting out of marriage and relationships. A lot of these women don't understand that marriage is a sacred Union that's supposed to be until death. She is treating it like a longer-term relationship that she can walk away from at any time. The problem is her decision affects more than just Corey but it affects the children and everything that they've built. I mean how can this be a celebration or a graduation when only one person is happy while the rest of the family is crying?

No need to use her divorce as a reason to justify not getting married. Especially when research shows marriage is greatly beneficial for men.
Men are not the only ones who takes risks in marriage. Research shows, after a divorce women face higher risks of being impoverished along with other hardships. Think about that. What has gone so wrong in a marriage, that women are willing to take the high risks of enduring hardships over staying married.
This impact is felt greater for the women who have no formal education which may limit their ability to have a successful career and earn a decent income.
With that said, I do not encourage divorce. In fact, it should be the last available options.
P.S. Men are very vocal towards Tia's circumstances, yet I don't hear that same crowd lamenting over Blair Underwood who is divorcing his wife of 27 years only quickly got engaged to his friend of 41 years.

That may be the same case for Corey because throughout the entirety of her speech. She never said that the both of them ever really did anything to work on the marriage. I mean what do you want to bet that a lot of the problems in that marriage Corey didn't even know about.
2. "You cant use her divorce as a reason." There is some veracity to this but the problem is those shallow reasons again. Tia is the force is one of many that uses poor logic as an excuse to end a sacred Union. She is not alone in the fact that there are women out there who use foolish reasons to justify ending a marriage. That's what men are afraid of.
3. "Marriage is really beneficial to men." This is in the eye of the beholder. Because honestly, there may be plenty of people who see it as beneficial but the risk might outweigh it. Most especially since 80% of divorces are initiated by women.
Not to say that women don't take risk as well. Yet it just seems very strange that even though they risk losing so much. There are so many that would end the relationship.
4. The the difference between Tia Mowry and Blair Underwood is the fact that Blair Underwood is not looking for anybody's support. Tia is out here on some divorce tour looking for attention. I mean she's looking for everyone to clap and praise her for ending a marriage.
If Blair Underwood did this I can guarantee that no man would raise him unless he gave a very valid reason for divorcing his wife. Because we can agree that divorce should be the very last resort.

I will point out filing for under divorce Irreconcilable Differences doesn't mean there aren't other valid reasons for divorce. If a man wants to divorce his wife because she habitually cheats on him and gets pregnant Irreconcilable Differences could just be the fastest way for divorce.
I will also point out divorces are public records. Filing under Irreconcilable Differences could be done to keep details of the divorce private.
I will agree many women unnecessarily file for divorce. I am a firm believer marriage is a sacred union and should be treated as such.
I will say Prenups serve as a valid way to protect men's assets before they get married. When executed properly, Prenups do work. Prenups minimize the risks men anf women face when going into marriage.
At this point, Tia speaking on her divorce is not doing herself any favors. She should just stop speaking on her divorce publicly, especially when Corey has choosen to remain silent. Many times silence truly is golden.
As for Blair, Your point is valid.Unlike Tia, I'm sure Blair does not want to bring attention to his circumstances, as he does not want to be judged. Many have pointed out that some men who have female friends are quick to say they are just friends, only to do what Blair is doing.
