Wow! I never expected a song of this caliber to come from a Nancy Drew game! Don't get me wrong, I love all of the music of the games, and own most of it, but for the first original lyrical song, it's fantastic! I hope there is an instrumental version to accompany this; I'd love to do a cover of it!

HeadAcheMusic Yeah, HER interactive let Lani Minella go w/o much explanation.
It’s hard to believe I listened to this song 7 years ago with tears in my eyes, admiring just how amazing the dev team at HeR Interactive was. Back in those days, HeR was like Dunder Mifflin, the game Dev team that all us fans wanted to work for and admire. Granted we didn’t know much about behind the scenes, but this company was a place that was revered and admired. Ever since the Midnight in Salem drama, a lot of the core HeR fans have left. But we, the young adults and adult fans of the series that chose to stick around, are still here. Still waiting and supporting this company.
Since then, the Nancy Drew community has exploded and become a shining force of light for lots of people, including a GINORMOUS LGBT presence including myself. It’s nice to see that HeR is an ally, especially with these games.
Not only that, there’s been a huge inspiration for others to make fan games like my very own Super Spy Academy. Or others like Amelia Darnell, Marcella Moon, Prose and Codes, and much more.
Here’s to hoping that one day we see the resurgence of HeR Interactive, a new Nancy Drew game, and many more beautiful experiences to celebrate over. 👏
What drama? I never played Midnight in Salem
Ive gave up on HeR years ago, I ain't supporting 'em anymore. and yet, I'm here. because I just like the good ol' series, even tho I thoroughly HATE the puzzles with no instructions, I like to see the games I grew up on. so no, it ain't only those 'who stayed and continue to support HeR". I don't believe a word they say and don't even care if they make a new game or not, I want the ND games how they used to be, not a unity shit with characters who move like they all have an epilepsy attack.
and what ON EARTH DO ND GAMES HAVE TO DO WITH LGBT? Don't put the fuckin gay pride??? why are you people proud that you're gay? no, I ain't tryin to be rude, I'm just curious? why are you treatin being gay as some life achievement? what is there to be proud of? I mean, it's everyone's own business who they wanna date and sleep with. suit yourselves, I don't care if you prefer a male or a female, suit yourselves. This song gives me the chills every time I listen to it. So beautiful! It adds a deeper meaning to the mystery. I actually enjoyed the entire soundtrack from the game.
Also very sad to hear that this is Lani Minella's last time voicing the ionic Nancy Drew. No one will ever be able to utter the words _"Its locked"_ , like she. I heard what (may or may not) be the new voice actor for Nancy Drew on Midnight In Salem preview. All I could think was legit WTF. However, I cannot judge her voice acting quite yet. I"ll patiently wait for 2016... *le sigh*

But while the logical part of me will be happy if Nancy keeps her original personality, I still don't like that she sounds like a 14 year old. Whenever I hear this song, I can't help but get a little emotional. It feels different, and I can't wait to see Sea of Darkness. For some reason, this song has a very Disney-esque feel to it. I could totally see this song being in a major motion picture. You've outdone yourselves, HeR!

Wow...I was expecting a cool instrumental theme as always from the Nancy Drew crew, but this blew me away. This gave me chills...Did not expect the lyrics. Lol. I think the only other Nancy Drew song to have lyrics was the one in Curse of Blackmoor Manor, and that was good, but this was a whole new level!!! Same! Every time I go to the store I look for MiS xD SoD.. Sea of Darkness? I liked that one too, but it is not my favorite. However, I loved the music in it. My all time favorites are the older ones, mainly my first ND game (The Haunted Carousel), The one from my homeland (Curse of Blackmoor Manor) and the two ones I could easily do Speedruns of because I love them so much I have played them like 20+ times, (Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake and Danger on Deception Island)

Btw, I haven't liked every change HER has done, but I gotta say whatever they've been doing with Labyrinth of Lies and Sea of Darkness were awesome. I've been harping on about how there seems to be less of a focus on mystery and story, but these games were ALL about the mystery and story. It was so nice. It makes me care less about my previous complaints.
Although I gotta say there is some strong self-awareness here. Even Nancy agreed with me that the puzzles make no sense (the heater puzzle). I lol'd. It was like a softcore Deadpool moment. That's another thing: the script was better, too. Everything was a step up, imo, because there were no gimmicks. I guess you can't really do gimmicks in a game taking place in Iceland lol. My only complaint is about the weird puzzles that don't make sense with the task (but Nancy pointing it out made me forgive that). Even the Ned fight which usually irritates me since I hate Ned came out alright. Didn't mind it all that much. I also loved that you could choose between being nice or a complete jerk. Highly amusing.

No matter what everyone says, Lani Minella IS Nancy Drew for me forever! She gave Nancy Drew more life then anyone else would, or will for that matter. I dont care what HERIN etc says, I want her back!!!

I'm more excited for this particular game than I have been in awhile (and i'm always excited for ND games) ... this just sort of cements it. I've been with you HER since Haunted Mansion. I was a kid...i've seen the series change gradual... this game seems it might be ending one era and beginning a new era simultaneously. This song is a great example of this i think. Strong start.

I was quickly able to place it because my daughter loved the movie Hocus Pocus and the hauntingly pretty song in it, also known as "Sarah's Theme" and "Garden of Magic" sung by Sarah Sanderson. The tunes are very similar.
