I've had two of these, also 1.6 petrols. the temic modules in the doors are commonly broken. but mechanically very solid engines. just electrical niggles here and there. I currently own the MK3 grand scenic 1.9dci and although that lump is reliable and has been an absolute machine, the car has suffered worse than the Mk2's in terms of electrical gremlins.
