    Great review, thank you for the noise and temperature tests in particular.

    Very very informative your analysis about the fan noise!! Thank you so much, this is a deal breaker for me.

    About the fan noise; when you have it plugged in it "fast charges" which heats up the PC a lot. This alone will kick on the fans. You have the option with Fn + F to set the fan level (performance, balanced or silent mode) where the silent mode kicks off the fan or has it on a near inaudible level. So if at lectures; set it to quiet. When you want more performance at the cost of sound, you can switch mode.
    This is one of the best "MacBook" contenders in my opinion, especially so the 2024 version with Meteor Lake chips pushing efficiency even higher than before. I chose this over the MacBook, and would only get that if you need extremely good battery life and performance and can tolerate the poor I/O offerings and MacOS quirks. I for one don't enjoy the organization in Finder.

    This one looks really good. I'm glad Asus is doing something with these OLED laptops.

    Thanks for your review, most of it is an advantage. However, that sound of the fan when browsing websites is definitely annoying for me. In your video, It's not full-load work but I still hear the sound clearly... I could imagine the fan noise when I am watching Netflix... XD

    Great review, definitely making me have second thoughts about buying this model, with regards the fan noise, did you change the operating profile to whisper mode, would be interested to see the browsing results with that mode applied?

    the fan noise doesn't sound like that all the time only when plugged to the power and setting the performance to the max

    You should have tested fan noise without power cable, probably it wouldn't run fan at full. Liked the review anyway, thanks!

      Without power cable you are using it on the go, which would most likely mean not a quiet environment hence it doesnt matter what noise it makes on battery

    Waiting for the Asus ZenBook S 13 Flip OLED with 13th Gen Intel or AMD Ryzen 7 processors. The 12th-gen variant has all the ports I need (wish it had a Type-A 3.2 Gen 2 port tho) and is 1.1kg (2.5lbs). It's the perfect weight for a all around convertible laptop

    I use Linux on this laptop, and the fan doesn't spin much. For me to get this high sound, I must be doing something heavy like rendering.
    However, I get this loud fan noise on windows

      I'm interesed in this laptop. How many hours of battery of continuous use do you usually get with this?

    Man i’ve seen a couple of reviews of this zenbook and all of them haven’t complained about the noise at all, in fact some of them said this laptop was so silent, is there any possibility your laptop is faulty? Btw can you tell me if you were playing in high-ultra settings Csgo or low settings?

    • @TheTanelChannel
      @TheTanelChannel  Před rokem

      Hey, well like you see if you dont do much on the laptop it is quiet :D but if you start browsing the web etc it will get loud. CSGO I belive I had it at max graphics, I rarely turn graphics down in benchmarks and if I do I mention that.

    there is a reason why its limited to 60hz. 120hz will only give few hours of battery life and this is not aimed at gamers , they have other laptops which are heavy with 120hz for gamers
