It's a muscle memory thing I guess, like riding a bike, once you have it, you have it... it's hard to explain except to say keep trying ;~)
Finally got this part. Quit using my teeth like a sieve & it worked.
Sandi Incant get the suction part, is there any other way to do it? I love this hat and want to start making them at my events...let me know
Made about 20 of these. However, they don’t last long. Did the flower part two days prior. The rest only the night prior . Storing in a clear plastic bag helped a lot. Used plastic headbands but covered the bands with a balloon, just slipped it inside a 350. Stays on the head better. These take tons of time vs building a couple of columns in a matter of an hour. Doubt I’d do this many again.
I was finally able to do it by sucking the balloon against the roof of my mouth. When you feel the bubble form, pinch and pull the ends you're holding between your fingers so that the air which was sucked in from the outside does not escape. Don't use your teeth. Hard to tell if Sandi is doing it this way because of the side shot, but it worked for me. Cool hat for sure. .

Am I the only person that doesn't understand how she did this on tied up balloons?? How did you push the bubble up if it was tied up to begin with?

Where does it show you how to create little bubble at the end? , she goes that fast n doesn’t show you how to do this
It's hard to do that slow as the air seeps out... basically you want to stretch the tip of the balloon and then push the air up into it. It's kinda a feel thing, so if you play around with it a bit you will get it :~)
Hi I am making about 50 hats can I do them a day before or they are going to to lose some air, thank you
You should be ok to do it a day in advance, but I wouldn't do it much more than that. Once they're done, put them into a plastic bag and tie it to slow down the oxidization process. :~)

I get them from various balloon distributors. Look at the Qualatex and Betallic websites for a list of their distributors. :~)
