Love the storage compartment in the display base. Wish more figure makers would offer that feature.
You would think that more companies would incorporate that feature with their figures, though the downside is that it lifts the figures pretty high on a display shelf, if thats not a big issue yeah its nice knowing where all the extra figures accessories are.
He jumps from heights all through the movie. That's why they have the spear and the tall stand.
I can't see many collectors displaying Rambo in mid jump, but thats me

The likeness is really unbelievable the first thing I noticed for a figure of this size plus hiya is now putting names on there stands I look forward to more hits releases great great review as usual

Brilliant review..cant belive they finally nailed stalones head in this scale...neca Rocky and Rambo barely looked like stalone..expensive but worth it..would love if these giys did Rocky now the likeness is their
I was very impressed with the headsculpts on this one and when we look at the First Blood Part 2 and Rambo 3 figures, Hiya was hitting good sculpts on all them. If yeah they could do Rocky figures that would be awesome! whats your favourite Rambo movie btw?

Why did they not include the green vietnam army jacket?
I had wondered that too but that would also mean he'd have to have a red shirt also, maybe they went with the more recognizable look and then going to release a second version of him later

Weapon is not an AR-15. It is a M16-A1 that was standard issue for U.S. troops during this time period. Your reviews are awesome.
I was bouncing back and forth between it being an AR or an M16, some of the sites looking it up referenced it was an AR-15 used in the film

@@TheReviewSpotit’s an M16-A1. There are many defining parts for you to compare if you choose yo research. I am familiar with weapons because that was my job in Korea. We didn’t have A1’s but still used the old replica rubber duckies for p.t.
The sheriff's department did use AR-15s in the movie, though they later change to M16A1s and fire full auto. But yeah, it's definitely the M16A1 that Rambo seizes, and that's what's included here.
Impressive figure and accessories. A bit pricy, but might be well worth it.

I'm kinda partial more to First Blood myself, I find its like the Alien and Aliens debate. First Blood Part 2 is the more commercial Action sequel but I like the small town, outside stranger charm of the original one.

This may very well be my favorite Hiya Toys figure so far. Sylvester Stallone's likeness is very good, especially given the smaller 1/12th scale. The three head sculpts have been very nicely done. The paint application is clean. The fact that the clothing is made out of actual material is a nice touch. Articulation is pretty good. John Rambo comes included with a lot of accessories, which is always a huge plus. The fact that the magazine clip can be removed is impressive. Having the ability to store the accessories in the display base's storage compartment is another nice touch as well. Solid work on the part of Hiya Toys! Thanks, Spot! These didn't even come out on Amazon in Canada yet!! And already all the CZcamsrs got them and now there all sold out because of people like this getting them early 😑
Big Bad Toys Store has the pre orders still listed on their sites, plenty of time to still order them if you're interested
