  • So we have a few folks out at Village Creek MX in Everman Texas and we got to try out the 2022 Orion RXB250. This is a first impression video from a guy who owns a WR250R and used to race back in the day. You know getting back into the sport, maybe the target audience for this bike?

    Great video! Got my 2021 last year (before the price hike) for $2299 out the door, I have almost 300miles on it and after 3 visits to my DMV it has been plated and driving around on my Ohio streets. Nice bike, ppl always asking what it is, still on original knobbies so I don't do freeway but have had it up to 72mph on a county road (straight line)WOT. What I like best is the tight trails, Im a smaller guy but I throw it around and it does me with ease in any gear. I did manage to snap a clutch cable but I think it was made wrong and I never lubed it from factory so that was dumb. New cable just mounted today and lubed up for the summer fun ahead, smooth trails guys! Money well spent, no major issues or engine mods thus far.

      Thanks for the Kudos man I enjoyed this video weekend out with the Orion folks and I am excited to see their new fuel injected RXB. I would 100% grab one of these of Jason and the guys if I wasn't dead set on a 2 stroke. I will admit I am impressed with the support with these upper tier Chinese bikes.

      @@stoplogicmotorsports no doubt with some tweaks it can be a great bike!! For the price you can’t complain to much! It’s still better then bikes in its class with just a few downers buts every bike has a few flaw’s in certain areas

    To answer the question regarding knowing how to adjust a clutch: "I randomly hopped on this bike set up from their trailer, I guess I could have asked the owner to let me fully set it up before riding but that I think would defeat the purpose of a first impression."

    I thought these bikes cost under $2000 like the new templar 250. 250cc with 6 speed.

    • @stoplogicmotorsports

      Some do some don't, bikes like Orion GPX and ajp which use the same engine platform all have bikes north of the $3,000 range. Also Orion has different setup options suspension all sorts of other additional Services they offer when you buy one of their bikes.
      Not that I particularly plug for any Chinese bike as I don't personally own one but I'm willing to try and ride and review anything I can get my grubby paws on.
      I guess the closest thing would be considered to a plug for Orion is that I've seen their Fort Worth Warehouse and they have a pretty extensive setup system in there.

    There's a bunch of cars and trucks made in China as well...Land Rover, Volvo and others.

      I did a whole thread on the GPX Facebook page pointing out that every motorcycle manufacturer other than Beta (I couldn't find any proof) has factories in China or produce a number of their models / most of their parts there. My only concern is with all of the updates NOS parts will be hard to get.

      @@HeyItsAsmus the 150s and 190s had a run of starter mount bolts that would break off throwing the chain off the engine. It still looks like an issue as of Feb 8th. Maybe you can source similar sized hardened bolts.

    Can you review the Brozz250? You think it is a better build and will outlast the brozz 250? I think the brozz has counterbalance and same material for the swing arm.

    • @stoplogicmotorsports
      @stoplogicmotorsports  Před 2 lety +1

      Hmm if I can get someone to lend me a brozz to review I am more than happy to. Having ridden the Hawk which is close to it it's kind of not apples to apples to a Orion RXB. Both Hawk and Brozz are a bit more street focused like a 50/50 dual sport vs a 90/10 plated dirt bike. I tried the Hawk off road and managed to break off the chain slider adjuster after 2 laps in the woods and the rear brake overheated and faded on me. Looking at the newer brozz it fixed the lame swingarm they came with and the USD forks look interesting. Also the 2020 Brozz had the 230cc 5 speed engine, I think given the use and purpose of the brozz to be a 50/50 dual sport it would work well in that environment but it's not a purpose built woods bike. I think the Orion if you plan to spend more than 50% of your time in the woods would be a better pick.

    • @stoplogicmotorsports
      @stoplogicmotorsports  Před 2 lety +1

      That comparison would be like stacking my WR250R up against a WR250F and realizing that my 250R is not quite the same level of woods bike but on the road the WR250F would be vastly less comfortable on the road.

    • @TheSlashSlingingSlasher
      @TheSlashSlingingSlasher Před 2 lety +1

      @@stoplogicmotorsports Interesting. Yeah I suppose if you ride the brozz like a true dirtbike it could really start falling apart. The price point gets me for the Orion at just above 3k. Vs the brozz at 2k. But I guess you pay for what you get. I'll get the brozz since I got a deposit already on it. I'll update you later in March when it comes through.
