I must be old because I’ve ordered one of these and I’m excited about it hahaha between the dog and the cat inside, I usually have some stain that needs to be cleaned so I thought it makes more sense to buy my own rather then keep paying to rent one. The small tanks look really annoying but it’s probably similar on all machines unless you buy a commercial model. Appreciate your review, thank you.
Hi there am Alberto yeah we got one yesterday from Argos we really like it we've hired it out a few times but now brought one I've been really busy with it and love it yeah I clean the carpet and then the tank is felled up with hot ish water and I go over it again with just the water no soap and it gets it all up like a rince then go with just the hover part to suck it all up
my is broken water feed goes inside and locking but maybe not as the water comes out from it but stays under the water feed but the spray doesn't work properly ?? my husband checked it and see something is wrong too its less than year so I hope there is a still chance to get it fixed
Best result if you clean one direction then go the opposite way like a football pitch & no you won't have a carpet that has strips it will pull more water & dirt out of the carpet
To get the lines off the rug, run the steamer without the water. I don't know why they don't tell you to run a pass or two without the cleaner so it sucks up more of the water.
Question I have this model. Love it. Somehow, hmmm?? The clear area that run along the rug that sucks up the liquid, has cracked badly off. We’re try to remove this part but it’s proving to be a puzzling task. All screws have been removed but it cannot be pulled off. Anyone have a manual that I can see PDF? Or you can show on video plz? Thank u very much. Ugh
You are right, the clean water tank is tiny ..far too small. My carpet was very dirty. I think I left it too long. Cleaned ok but the carpet was soaked. Could be better.
Another website of a professional cleaner was talking about the rug doctor. And he said you only use the hot water in the tank. You put the detergent and stuff and spray it on the carpet with you know a sprayer or a little handheld thing ...let it sit for 10 or 15 minutes and then go over the carpet with just hot water coming in. That way it doesn't get oversaturated with soap. Also the rug doctor website says to open your windows and let it dry. And I'm in Florida. The other guy suggested bringing your AC down to 72° run your fans and floor fans and give it a couple hours. I am one person with six cats. That should be fun. I'd love to have hardwood floors but I don't have them. I know it's 2020. But I can't afford However I have a nice large rugs to go over the carpet. So if I can get the carpet not to look like crap, my good rugs can go on top. Hopefully it will be a win-win situation when I get done..Thank you for a good review. Do appreciate your time. @@Jaz07860 😎wow! Good morning. It's Monday, September 26 at 4 AM in Florida. We're going to have a a Hurricane probably by Wednesday in Central Florida. And I have decided I would clean the rug in honor of maybe having the roof caved in from the storm. Ha ha. How ironic that you should ask if I bought the rug doctor. Yes I did. Have you made sure all the caps are sealed on correctly and that the buckets are seated correctly? Also make sure you have not got the collection tank to full as it will stop sucking in water at that point (but still makes a load of noise).
@@RealLifeGadgetReviews I bought mine about 1 1/2 years ago. I love it too but now it is refusing to spray the water out onto the carpet. Can you help me? bak1253@gmail.com
I’m thinking of getting this because I have 5 puppies and two big dogs and the potty pads are not working so I’m going to invest and buy this. Thank you for showing us.
I noticed it says a maximum of two passes before allowing the carpet to dry, then clean again. Presumably this is to avoid all that wayer soaking the carpet. The tank is way too small... constantly refilling!!!
It’s worth the price But the biggest issue I’ve had with mine is damage to the front plastic brush chamber. It’s cracked on the sides and it causes a major loss of suction. I’ve repaired it twice with epoxy and other methods, but the replacement part is usually out of stock when I need it replaced. Other than that, it’s a great machine. Have owned for over three years and it’s still working.
I'm going to rent one today and do my living room, how long did it take for your living room to dry? I just have to keep the pups in the yard while I do it and it's going to be quite hot out today, so..
@@jimjones-mg1zm Incredibly enough, the instructions to operating this beautiful machine do not tell you to run the thing for a full minute even if no spray is coming out. So, before you start freaking out about why the thing doesn't work, try this and you'll have a smile on your face after about 90 seconds. :). FYI, I called the company a few months back when I was having this problem, and that's what they told me to do, and it worked!!
@@jimjones-mg1zm You have to press the trigger while the machine is running, i.e. pretend is working for a full 90'', back and forth, loaded with water...keep doing it...then you'll see it's starting to spray. Keep running it for 90" uninterrupted while pressing the trigger...don't give up, it will work. It cleans great!
This machine cost me hours of frustration and after 3 years of occasionally trying to get it to work, I give up. Sorry, but it's going into the landfill. I'm back to spot cleaning.
Any model of carpet cleaner needs fresh warm water running through the pipes after use , if you don't sooner or later it will leave a sticky residue in the pump and other parts causing it to fail and will not put out cleaning solution .
You could have cleaned the skid marks of your toilet before that emptying of the dirty water down the toilet shot lol.... Good video tho just bought one

Pre treat the bad parts and also go over the carpet again not spraying water

Is this better than the numatic george ??
Good review 👍🏻 I might get one now
Go for it!
The clean water tank last about 3 or 4 minutes, ridiculous, I thought somn was wrong but I guess not.
Best result if you clean one direction then go the opposite way like a football pitch & no you won't have a carpet that has strips it will pull more water & dirt out of the carpet
Spray the carpet with a pre cleaner first, then wash. It makes a massive difference, I use a weed killer sprayer bottle for the pre treatment.
Nice tip, thanks!

2 screws underneath that hold the main water jet in right in the centre at the back of clear plastic

Yeah an extension option is would be nice.
How do you fix the small side brushes back onto the clear side
You need to eat bacon

How much?
Hi, was thinking of purchasing one of these, but just enquiring, how did carpet look once dry?
They work really well, still have and use it.
Remember things will be at least ten times darker when wet.
We have this same model for about 6yrs. Lately the clean water tank is not holding the water. Does anyone know why?
Rubber seal all ok?
Mine came on but the water is not doing anything what am I doing wrong got the water in it cut it on and nothing

is it possible to use the grout cleaner accessory with this modle
@@zazoomatt I'm just trying to clean mine, I've removed 73 screws and its still solid!
Looks really good, Is it heavy?
Nope
yes, it's heavy, all of my staff have noted its weight. (heavier than a henry vacuum cleaner, lighter than a fridge freezer)

48hrs in normal weather. Stick the heating on unless its really boiling in your living room.
Are you still enjoy your RugDoctor?
Yes still going well! Only thing to note is water tanks are a little to small, so more filling and emptying is my only negative.
Have you used the hardwood floor attachement with this model ? By any chance
Sorry I have not.
My mums house as stains worse than yours and only took 6 passes to get it clean so you should only need about 3 passes to get your stains out
