For 7.5 years I was a School Social Worker and only worked with students in self-contained/ ED (Emotionally Disturbed) classrooms in 21 different assigned schools and majority of students in there were very smart and intelligent but due ADD, ADHD and ODD aka " BAD AF" teachers and even their parents would give up on them. Long story short I always encouraged them to seek their dreams and like u many have by going to college, music producer schools, trade schools, military, etc sadly some are in jail and two loss their lives to the streets. However, the ones that changed for the better all expressed the same thing u said, when they left their homes and moved out- of -state or to a better side of Baton Rouge, LA it was easier for them to transition because the weight of their circumstances was lifted. I enjoyed listening to your interview and wish you luck in your career!!

I went to a Special Ed school in North Chelmsford Massachusetts because I got kicked out of all the schools in Manchester New Hampshire and I wasn’t old enough to drop out of school so anyway in one of my classes there was these two teenage gang members from Cambridge And these kids would fight in the gym and every chance they got they would verbally fight with each other just talk shit to each other all day and one was always yelling Port and the other one was always yelling Coast and I have no fucking clue what that meant I just figured they were different parts of Cambridge until that guy just sit in the park to something about everybody here is all coast
