    This is a cost-effective dupe to the Hair Buster Cat Comb. Or just an easy way to enhance your current rabbit grooming tool!
    I would recommend this comb for short-haired bunnies!
    For longer fur, try a comb with longer teeth.

    I never heard of the comb you mentioned. We just use a regular human comb (outdoors is best!). Our bun is short haired like Lennon looks. I love that she is free roam! Our Billy has a big x pen with lots of play time. Otherwise he chews holes in every pillow, blanket and shirt! :)

    👏👯👏 Thank you Lorelei for this fantastic hack! I had been trying to hunt down the Hairbuster in the UK to no avail and finally found one online from America but it was completely sold out 😣 Now, my floofy rescue (well 2nd hand) bun Tallulah is looking super sleek as it works a treat 😀. I purchased the very same Safari comb as you show (but from eBay, brand new) for less than a quarter of the price of the Hairbuster - result! Being somewhat aged I had a little issue getting the rubber band between the teeth of the comb but had a wee flash of inspiration & used a push pin to count along the teeth, then pushed the pin between the teeth which made is easy peasy to slip the rubber band through 😉. Lorelei your uploads are always charming, educational and oh, so beautifully made, thank you so much 🌌💞🐇🐰🐇🐰💞🌌

    I have recently subscribed to you and saw that you talk a lot about the hairbuster comb. Then I found this video. I did this to my flea comb after seeing this video. It works super great for my ferrets! Never thought I could get so much shed out before! I used to brush them day after day during shedding season and now that I used this diy I combed once and haven't had to do it again and it has been a week. So happy you made this video. Thanks😁🐾💜

      I just lost my HairBuster comb after 15-20 years. I couldn't remember what it was called so had to do some searching to find it...remembering that it was fairly expensive. Should a lice comb work well too? I'm wondering because even though I'm going to petsmart today or this weekend it's just cheaper for me as I had a few infestations in elementary school and never used some of the combs

    • @starlawilson6563
      @starlawilson6563 Před 7 lety

      The lice combs don't work as well. I thought the same and have tried it as a flea comb for my cat a few years back. The bristles aren't as close together as they are with a flea comb. Also, the lice comb I had was plastic and it wasn't as durable. They sell flea combs at walmart for cheap. The cheaper flea comes don't have the handle, instead the handle is a half circle is connected right next to the actual comb part, but it works the same as the ones with the large handle (like the one in the video).

    have a quick question. I have a rabbit that has free roamed my neighbor hood for quite a while because when got to big for her cage she chewed out of it and started to free roam the neighborhood. I now know that that probably isn’t a good thing. I was thing of getting her an X-pin and letting her live in that while I am at school. I can’t free roam her because my family has 2 cats. I have a way to keep the cats out of my bedroom though. Would it be mean to put my bun bun in an X-pin? I hope someone sees this.
