Who cares what Kerry King thinks. Dave Lombardo is the best musician of all four of them. And he's highly sought after by many bands over the past 20 years. He's been in 25 bands at least, and keeps getting enlisted by bands to play for.them on tours and in the studio. He's highly talented and is a better human.being than little Kerry King. GO LOMBARDO!!!!!!!
Kerry was always the most replaceable member of the band. It's not even a competition.

I love how almost every news article about Slayer includes the line: "Dave Lombardo, who was effectively fired by Slayer..." or something similar.

@@jobbiejew he’s got plenty of work, sure. He’s never done anything as good as Slayer, tho, and this feels like the closest there is to more Slayer. I’ve got no idea if it’s good. Paul Bostaph is also a great drummer, so that won’t be the issue I’m sure. Just sucks that these guys aren’t getting along. I’m not taking a side or saying Dave is wrong. Kerry King honestly seems like a dick to be honest. Its just a shame

@@P.h.i.l.65 I don't expect people to agree with it, that's why it's a hot take. Dave obviously has a much bigger fanbase so of course people will get defensive about it.
No way. Paul's drumming on all the studio records he was on was really sloppy, just like Kerry's guitar playing. So they were meant for each other I guess. Now I'm not an expert on drumming or guitar playing, but I know what sounds shitty to me.
Definitely a hot take. Paul isn't that bad but can't really hold a candle to Dave. Kerry King has always been a dick and his relationship with Tom only cemented the fact.
