9 grand sure ain't cheap. But considering it's an 8K camera with 120 fps 4K with that dynamic range and 4 axis stabilization... that's impressive. This is the sort of tech that can take amateur budget movies to big budget quality.
I agree that the camera is impressive, but I personally don't think any amount of camera gear will make an amateur film significantly better. IMO the most noticeable traits of an amateur film come from pre-production and post-production.
@@devoid-of-life this thing has 4 axis stabilization meaning it can in part take the role of a dolly, a slide and a rail. But without having to invest in those systems. It's also easier to deploy, requires less crew and setup and less planning. Add to that the 8k that allows for generous (post) reframing of shots. And great out of the box color science.
I think this tackles exactly those points you said are important =) This platform offers a lot more than just "many shiny pixels".
Now this, this is what you call TRUE INNOVATION! All we need in a camera as filmmakers and cinematographers, IN ONE PACKAGE, I used to only dream of things like these, now they're real 🥲🥲

I don't mean to crash the party but there's a few problems with this setup. Number 1: The Ronin 4D's Camera body also needs to be upgraded. It's Big and bulky and It runs on previous generation TB50 Batteries whereas the Inspire 3 has already upgraded to TB51 batteries so you have to invest in old expensive TB50 batteries if you want to use The Ronin4D. Then there's the DJI PROSSD 1TB SSD Drive which is extremely slow to upload your 8k footage from, expect to take an hour each time you want to offload your footage from these stick ssd cards which also cost over $800.

Yikes! You can get 8K RAW, NLOG, and ProRES RAW with the Nikon Z8 and Z9 for muuuuch less.
They should have checked with you first - now they are going to fail. Oh wait, this is going to sell like crazy despite costing a total fortune.

You don't need to mount this on a gimbal, it is a gimbal camera.
Siked that I have an upgrade path from the 6k! 12k someday?? =O Maybe Global shutter options in the future? Only time will tell

the capability of this system is one of a kind, though i have yet to see images out of this camera that compliment the overall systems uniqueness if that makes any sense, maybe its lens availability os something but still exciting nonetheless.

Why Ronin 4D 6K/8K is not in the Netflix approved camera list? I think Ronin 4D have all the requirements features that Netflix ask to be approved on the list. Anyone got answers?

I bought first product Ronin S gimbal and found they did not allow to switch to front camera of the phone so that I can use the phone also as a monitor(sort of) during active track.
They marketed raveneye for rs2 for the function which could be fixed by 2 lines of programming code.
I did not buy any brand new dji product as of today as a protest.
