During the climax of the game, the characters enter Subspace to confront Tabuu. After they defeat Tabuu he dies, and all of the purple voids vanish, and the characters escape.
I don't think he's going to include Mega Charizard X. Because I think he said he only adds things from the very first generation of Pokemon which is also the time the anime didn't exist yet. He pretty much avoids anything non-gaming related. Don't take my word for it, I'm not 100% sure.
