We all want to have a perfect life, a happy life with no problems. But unfortunately it doesn't work like this. Life needs this ballance of good and bad things. Without sadness, loneliness, anger, hate we wouldn't value all the good things in our lives, we'd lose our meaning of life if everything worked out the way we want it. And the more bad things happen to us, the more we value what we have and what we get. The worst thing nowadays are the media, we tend to compare ourselves to the rest of the world, we can't get enough and seeing so many people having a much better life makes us more depressed than ever before. But we never think about all the people who would give everything away to have at least a life like us. The message is that life is shit for every single one of us, important is what you make out of it and how you react on the circumstances, for some of us life always feels like hell, the rest just knows how to hide it behind a smile.

Those who are doing it for plain attention should stop. But those people who vent on these kinds of songs might actually have no one to turn to. When you say they should just get a therapist, that costs money. And maybe they don't have enough money or can't afford it or something. Maybe their friends won't listen to them or their family. I seen the top comment about writing life stories etc... but I came here to write this anyway. Not sure anyone will read but whatever... Been searching for this song for ages - but they were all took down :/ My life had been pretty terrible to be fair. Not quite as bad as those suffering right now in absolute poverty or those growing up in Syria right now etc etc. But to the average person who has a normal 2.4 life with caring parents and a normal background. Yeah I didn't have any of that. i was bullied throughout my entire life in school, always in fights, always outcast to everyone. Never really understood why... never really had anyone I could call a close friend... and sometimes I'd find myself with noone too talk to and speak about the ways I was feeling... I always had pressure from the whole family to excel and do well because they could sense I was intelligent. But I never knew how to channel it properly in the right direction. I tried my hand at start up companies, playing poker, going into college, university... Failing at them all and giving up when the going got tough. Instead of sticking through it. --- Today I am in university for the second time, final year, and through the experiences I've had I won't say things have gotten any easier... but I have matured, and learned to deal with the things life throws at you, and I can kinda see the bigger picture to how things can be in the future. Its hard work and still feels like a struggle everyday; but I just keep sticking at it, and every now and than I return to songs like this which helped me through those tough times. --- I'd have to say, above every other song I like and which has helped me - This has to be my favorite. It just speaks to me like no other song does. My advice to anyone out there who is struggling with life, is sometimes not to rely on other people to try and get you through it... because people may not always be there. No one goes out of their way to share their problems with the internet. These people are looking for attention. Someone with actual mental issues would be introverted about it and go to great lengths not to tell people about it. And before any tells me I don't know what I am talking about, My girlfriend of over 2 years has serious clinical depression issues and my best friend has been to a mental hospital twice for attempted suicide. I know exactly what I am fucking talking about and you people just doing it for attention are making the issue so much worse for people for actually have to deal with the illnesses you are replicating. With which I've replied: "is there someone in this conversation that's had it worse? No? Than what does that have to do with what I'm saying? It's not a contest"
People who say "theres people who have it worse" are in my opinion who have never experienced real loss or hardships in their life and that's why they talk out of their ass.
Real people with real struggles would never say something like that to someone,they would actually be empathetic.

My life had been pretty terrible to be fair. Not quite as bad as those suffering right now in absolute poverty or those growing up in Syria right now etc etc. But to the average person who has a normal 2.4 life with caring parents and a normal background.
Yeah I didn't have any of that.
i was bullied throughout my entire life in school, always in fights, always outcast to everyone.
Never really understood why... never really had anyone I could call a close friend...
and sometimes I'd find myself with noone too talk to and speak about the ways I was feeling...
I always had pressure from the whole family to excel and do well because they could sense I was intelligent.
But I never knew how to channel it properly in the right direction.
I tried my hand at start up companies, playing poker, going into college, university...
Failing at them all and giving up when the going got tough. Instead of sticking through it.

Today I am in university for the second time, final year, and through the experiences I've had I won't say things have gotten any easier... but I have matured, and learned to deal with the things life throws at you, and I can kinda see the bigger picture to how things can be in the future. Its hard work and still feels like a struggle everyday; but I just keep sticking at it, and every now and than I return to songs like this which helped me through those tough times.

My advice to anyone out there who is struggling with life, is sometimes not to rely on other people to try and get you through it... because people may not always be there. Try and find the answers within yourself and grow as an individual.

MegaFriendlyCreeper after many years of dealing with people with depression and other mental illnesses I have come to the realization that no one, NO ONE with actual depression does this kind of thing. No one goes out of their way to share their problems with the internet. These people are looking for attention. Someone with actual mental issues would be introverted about it and go to great lengths not to tell people about it. And before any tells me I don't know what I am talking about, My girlfriend of over 2 years has serious clinical depression issues and my best friend has been to a mental hospital twice for attempted suicide. I know exactly what I am fucking talking about and you people just doing it for attention are making the issue so much worse for people for actually have to deal with the illnesses you are replicating. So yeah, grow up and stop acting sad because you are masking a real issue people suffer from with your bullshit.

Most who say they´d kill themself wouldn´t do it but they think about it. I´ve gone through the same you did. my girlfriend gets treated because of her depression im dumber than her in a way: i refuse to go see a therapist. i can manage on my own at the moment, and that´s important to me. my girl however was close to committing suicide not even half a year ago. and bet where we "met" first? right on the internet. not youtube but on a site for all kinds of hobbywriters. i wrote something about bullying back then (stopped it i´m not good enough at writing to make the story what it should be)well we started talking via PNs and well a few months after we started writing messages her best freind committed suicide. Since then hell started for her. ofc. Cutting depression thoughts of suicide the whole thing.
But back to topic. i said you are wrong in the beginning didn´t i? that was wrong at my site. you are right, that these people seek attention. They seek attention they don´t get otherwise. SO they seek it from strangers. We´re all strangers on the internet. Even if we ever wrote each other on another video i wouldn´t remember it, i don´t konw your face. And more importantly you don´t know mine. That´s why i can tell you about my girlfriend even if you knew her you couldn´t do her harm, as you don´t know it is her i told you about. if i told you about me the same would work for me. That´s the reason why those people chose t obe that open with what´sd wrong with them. OFC there are attention whores BUT there are also people who really are in serious shit who write about it not knowing what to do. On a YT video maybe a few thousand read your post. Shouldn´t at least one know something, that could help you?`So yes these people seek attention. they seek help.
