It made Hank Pym a straight up wife beater, which probably painted people's perception of him even more negatively. Yes, she is a nice person. But the world always sends you waves of events that would crash down to every one of us, and you always have to make sure to hold a firm control over your lives. She might have been a nice person, but her softness allowed others to over invade within her privacy. I am just glade she gained personal courage by meeting someone whom she could truly rely on

She only liked Doc because he was a way “out”, I don’t think she would have crushed on him if Richard wasn’t such a jerk. And I think Doc was disgusted by her deformity (the invisible skin thing). This is definitely a bit rich coming from a former child adventurer and superscientist, but I think he thought he was “better” than a woman with invisible skin. He went “ew” at Tara Quymm when she had a seizure. JJ was also deformed and I think he empathized with Sally. The fact she was a scientist probably helped, too. I think he related to her - she was confined by Richard and JJ was confined by Doc’s body. I also think Doc has an avoidant personality, or avoidant attachment. He’s probably very uncomfortable with intimacy because it was never shown to him or modelled for him. Jonas was a playboy who banged a different chick every week. Doc never knew his mom. He’s always been alone, and so I think women who are a little *too* into him, like Myra or Sally, freak him out. “I likes my independence” is another way of saying “I’ve always been alone and I have no clue how to fit a woman into my life.” TLDR: Rusty is clearly disorganized in his attachment style. JJ, who never had to deal with Jonas’s nonsense, is capable of intimacy and empathy for Sally in a way Doc has been rendered unable.

I'd love for JJ to come back as an AI just hiding away in some satelite. As an additional plus, I'd love for him to come back and have an AI battle with Muther who's been piecing herself together underneath the burnt compound.

I always thought Sally deserved happiness. I was glad when she and JJ became a couple. They had a really nice relationship. He was even patient and nice to Ned which had to have been nice for Sally since Mr. Impossible treated Sally, her brother, and cousin with nothing but neglect and distain; and you could tell Sally cared about her family more than anything. It's too bad about what happened.
JJ was a good man (better than Dr. Venture Sr. and Rusty), but he was still flawed. He often took priority of his career over Sally and he left her cousin to serve as the generator for Richard's lab, never saving him.

I honestly love the fact that in the end, she has everything that Jonas Jr. gave her and their home itself. Even though that Dr.Impossible is alive I’m just more glad that the two aren’t together anymore. Since the funeral indicates that they changed for the better and moved on to better things.

Reading the comments here was eye opening. It’s refreshing to find a show written by professionals who create characters people can be emotionally invested in. This from an an animated show on adult swim. Disney, HBO, Netflix and all of Hollywood should have taken notice and copied.

Personally i think the way he treated Dr. Qwyum was worse... the fact that they were childhood friends who already had feelings for eachother and he decides that she isnt worth it because she had a seizure as a direct result of their body guards causing a fight on her bed and lighting her hut on fire with everyone still inside.
The continuity of The Venture Bros is always great and you could see it in the little details. At the end of the season 1 episode where Sally is introduced, we find out she's pregnant, and in a later season 2 episode with the Grand Galactic Inquisitor, she has a son named Rocket. I always thought that those two episodes were the only mention of him. But at 0:12 we see she is several months pregnant at the Christmas party. To be honest, I never noticed that when I watched the actual episode, but I just now noticed when I saw this video compliation. Just goes to show that The Venture Bros put a lot of heart into their dialogue and animation details! Can't wait for the movie!😂
