Its really great when you show scenes around Dubai and other cities, aside from your apt or hotel. Even just taking a walk, or the view from a car or train, etc. I skip thru your videos looking for those scenes
It's nice to hear about your Christmas traditions, Sophie. In my family, we open our presents before breakfast, then go to my grandparents house for Xmas lunch and more presents with my cousins, Auntie and Uncle. We don't so much have a Xmas dinner. A tradition that we have is prawns for Christmas Eve dinner.

I wake up, go to my parents house, I'll probably open a few presents and then crack open a brewski, then open the rest. Probably chin a couple more brewskis before Xmas dinner, then have one after while watching a film and passing out on the sofa.

My familia Navidad is Christmas eve our dinner is at 10 pm and we watch movies, play games, build ginger bread houses and do karaoke hahah. We wait till midnight to celebrate Christmas and open gifts. Then we have breakfast in a couples hours hahahaah.

Congratulations on your first class move, well deserved. 👏👏 Normally we all have breakfast first then open the presents. Most time we have a traditional hot lunch, but it’s going to be 41 degrees Celsius on Christmas Day so we are having a cold seafood lunch instead. The whole family gets together for Christmas tea/dinner which is normally a bbq.
Congratulations, Sophie! Well deserved! It’s nice to have a new challenge to look forward to as crew, as it can feel a bit repetitive as the years go by. I became a purser this year and I am enjoying my new role! As far as Christmas traditions, I am Puerto Rican, and we celebrate Christmas Eve. It is a party atmosphere with lots of food, music and drinks 😉. Our traditional foods are pernil, which is roasted pork shoulder and pasteles, which is like a tamale made with a mass made either from plantains or yucca and meat. And lots of coquito, which is our coconut egg nog. Christmas Day is usually spent recovering from the night before with leftovers 😂. I hope you have a lovely Christmas in Dubai!

At christmas morning , putting my norwegian winter jumper on and heading to our mall
for buy the christmas gifts .
There's a little christmas market in it .
People drinking " Glühwein " it's a hot winter vine .
I finished my shopping and there is this incredible smell in the air . In a little hut they are baking flat crispy potatoes .
At home I start decorating the christmas tree .Then wrapping up the gifts.
In the evening there is boxing time in Germany.
The next two days are hollydays in Germany too .
I' m wearing a pyjama coat like Rock Hudson in the movie "Giant" . Thats my tradition .

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Sophie. Many congratulations on the first class cabin crew promotion. You will be brilliant at it for sure. However does that mean you won't fly on flights that do not offer first class like Manchester certain flights and most of the Asian countries?
I absolutely loved my flights from Melbourne to London brilliant cabin crew and delicious food what more do I need

we no Christmas traditions really eat at like 1pm to 1:30pm cause we don’t have breakfast normally can’t really eat it myself
but I normally listen to upbeat motivational playlists something definitely good for a gym environment and my favourite is Ellie Goulding who was lucky to meet twice this year so my goal was achieved 😊😊

Congratulations Sophie. Merry Christmas. My Xmas Eve is being spent in an unplanned, unscheduled hotel room. The second leg of my trip home was cancelled. Re-booked for the first flight out on Christmas Day so I’ll be home for the all day Australian BBQ. 🎅🎅🎅
Unrelated question I’ve been meaning to ask. Where you live do you basically have the air conditioner on 24/7 all year round? In Perth I run my air con for about 4-6 weeks a year on idle and it’s enough for the 40+ degree days.
