    It was a pretty good tutorial for anyone looking to create that kind of animation. I think it would have been better if there were a reason given for choosing those strength and flow numbers for the curve and the consequences of picking other numbers instead (and maybe info about how to control the speed and volume of the flow animation). Still, a lot of info from this tutorial can be useful in other projects. 👍🏻

    A curve doesn't need a Subdivision Surface modifier, you can set a higher resolution in the Object Data Properties of the curve under Shape > Resolution Preview U (the Render U uses the same value if left at 0).

      how to export it to unreal engine
      and I need it as vfx
      or will it just be a mesh

    • @KennyPhases
      @KennyPhases  Před rokem +1

      @@ashy49592 To be honest I'm not sure, I have never used Unreal Engine before, however you might be able to just export mesh for every frame, and then re-compile that in Unreal Engine. If you're doing fluid-sims, it probably makes more sense to do them in the program you're using, like Unreal Engine, rather than going between programs. Maybe you could find an unreal-engine fluid-sim tutorial?

    is there a way to import an image - to draw a path in perspective to a still frame of a video, so that after completing the tutorial demonstrated in this video, the baked simulation could be taken over to after effects and applied as a composition?

    @jamest0m Před 2 měsíci +1

    Why did you choose *minus* 5 for the force strength?

    • @KennyPhases

      Because it will "attract" the fluid, rather than push it away (which is what a positive value would do).

      @@daryaprimak8417 That's probably because when you scale the mesh that is liquid-flow, you're also increasing the "ammount" of water essentially.
