We dive back into the awesome setting of War of the Worlds. Over the years Call to Arms received some excellent mods that change up the formula completely. War of the Worlds is one such mod. After not being able to deal with a single Tripod at the airfield, we are gonna see if maybe we can take them down in the open field with tanks at our side!

Are you still making Star War: Faction Wars because I really like that series.
The rough math when adding another tripod is that your force's chances will be reduced to something like 25% (maybe 33%?) because with two targets you split your fire (so half once) and also the attritional loss of units is doubled (so half again)

tripods are just terrifyingly strong,like the fact that it takes that many to only take one down

Should be able to take out the legs on that thing. That's teh weakest point on the tripod. Hope they programme that into the game in future releases.
not sure of the hit boxes on the tri-pods... but it's always been my experience to attack the enemy at it's weakest point.
The legs would most likely be a weak point because they are balance on 3.
cripple them by concentrating fire on one of the legs until it falls.
give the infantry RPG's to fire on the legs or grenade launchers on the rifles.
Mini Gun Equipped Infantry?
I would think the shields and armor is strongest up top.
can the large white disc be hit? it clearly is not armor and should be damaged easily.
get under it's field of fire. rush in with tanks.
tanks ramming the support legs should also topple them, Full Speed Ahead with Tanks.
If You're expecting the infantry to continue frontal attacks similar it'll always be a slaughter.
Maybe a little tactics... flanking and rear attacks. Fast moving Hummers with fast firing 25mm cannon.
High Rate of Fire seems to be the best scenario to break down the shield based on calculated damage.
THE tri-pods havet shelds in THE movie and ive notice that graneds and infantry attacks ar inafective
@@dragonhorde9866 but in the tripods can smash through buildings, and crush vehicles, wouldn't the shield "launch" the object? at least the "feet" of the tri-pod have no protection other than the material they used to build it, you can see this when the first tri-pod rises and crushes a car with no visible shields doing anything. Sorry if i made this long-ish.
The tripods have big spotlight also when you click on them they can chance them to a crouching
Is it possible to have the tripods do that automatically? Like sometimes crouch on their own to dodge stuff
@@vanguard6498 Why dodge when you have a shield that can absorb a lot of incoming fire?
