Jeff it’s great to hear your voice again.
Sup bro 😎 love your videos 💪🏾💪🏾
Hey Dave! "That's trucking" 😀
*bus driver dave*
Hi dave
Thanks brotha, stay safe out there in the middle of nowhere!
Fun fact: The Friedrichstraße is the road where you'd find Checkpoint Charlie. The Berlin border crossing for foreigners. Nowadays you'll find a small cabin at the place, with the picture of a Russian soldier looking towards the West, and an American soldier looking towards the East. I've been there, but I didn't take an expired passport with me to get an old DDR stamp when I was last there. Even the S-Bahn station Friedrichstraße was a border crossing. Unter den Linden is also interesting, because the modern day US Embassy (though not the Consulate) is at the nearby Pariser Platz, near the Brandenburg Gate, and on Unter den Linden proper you'll find the old Soviet (now Russian) Embassy.
When I was in Berlin our hotel was basically at Checkpoint Charlie. Fantastisch! Also visited the Wall Museum. Great memories. Thx for reminding me in the middle of Covid :)
another thing I love is that there's a Mcdonald's as soon as you enter West Berlin, true American style.
German word for indicator is "Blinker" :D I like the amount of traffic and that the AI cars running yellow lights not like in ETS2 where they slammin the brakes for yellow lights.
“04:03” - What on earth happened to that truck?!
lmao i was wondering if anyone else saw that
I saw that too lol
He landed it, its all good!
I'm surprised jeff didnt notice it
I didn't see the 1st time. Guess he hit the curb.
20:10 And then there are people that just watch all of the content 😂 cause Jeff seems to make every game look really entertaining.
20:25 You indeed need to give-way. Straight on has always the right of way, you're turning left. A normal (full) traffic light can be compared to the USA flashing arrow. If you've a green arrow you should not have any conflicts with other traffics. In this case you have a normal full traffic bulb which often indicates that the opposite direction also has a green light and you should yield.
Coming off other bus sims, I was NOT expecting the amount of wheel rotation you would have to do. My first 15 minutes in game wouldve ended up on Berlin news.
Real German undercover police 👮♂️😂
Hey Jeff! Awesome video!
I'm not a bus driver nor German, but we have similar if not, the same traffic rules/laws. Below I'll list a few that you can implement within this Bus sim or other European driving games.
- Always give way to traffic from the right,
Unless its out of a parking spot/lot, not a thru-street/road (E.i drive way) or you're on on a priority street. (The yellow diamond).
- There are absolutely no lef or rights on red.
However, sometimes traffic lights implement directional traffic; Full color is usually main or generic. Arrows indicate which direction thy traffic light is for.
- Blocking intersections with a large vehicle or any vehicle is prohibited. You can actually get fined over here, if you are able to see ahead that you wont be able to make an intersection, best is to wait till you're sure that you're able to clear it. (Also a fun self-game to play "Spot the impatient douchebag", and wait for the honks and beep 😆 )
- Roundabouts work similar with regular intersections, indicate the direction you're going prior to entering the roundabout, then indicate to the exit you're taking. Going straight (2nd exit, usually) only requires an exit-indicator.
- Speed limits are fairly the same; City limits are usually 50kmh, sometimes 60 depending on the area (if its a main-road or so). Residential areas usually are limited to 30kmh, outside the city it can vary from 60, 70 to 80. Highways or otherwise indicated roads are 100kmh (Busses, trucks and cars with trailers are limited to 80kmh, 90kmh is an exception for touring cars (Practically tour busses).
- Lane usage, also fairly simple, always keep on the right lane. Bus and bike lanes are prohibited from vehicles to use other than emergency vehicles (and busses on the bus lane, duh 😆).
- Headlight usage, It varies per country, but in Germany, and where I'm from, Always on is required for better safety. Some countries do indicate as well with roadside signs.
Personally, I have my lights always on when driving, but I generally hate it when people turn their lights on too late, especially at sunset and the sun has just touched the horizon, and cars have fade with the surrounding foliage.
Thats I guess the most relevant for this bus sim to use too. Feel free to Pin it for others to read or use!
If anyone has anything to add, just comment below 😆
"We wish you a pleasant flight" I instantly picture jeff driving off the overpass xD
time 26:05 you can see a blue vehicle inside the small truck to the right side. That is a graphic bug if i have ever seen one. Great video Jeff!
Jeff: "Everything is in early access"
Zooms in on bad graphics😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hey Jeff, I guess I'm weird, I like GTA, Bus sim, ATS and ETS too lol! You are awesome for helping give the Northern Alex a plug.
You're doing a great job :) The red lever next to the driver's seat is the ejection lever for if you had enough of all the rude costumers and want to make a quick escape :P
This really help newbie to play, you actually learn so fast about your bus dimension (avoid kerb)
Hey Jeff the german word for turn signal is “Blinker” which means flasher cause it flashes :D
Of course it is 🤣
@@jfavignano or in the driving school it's called Fahrtrichtungsanzeiger (Driving Direction Indicator) :D
Emergency Carspotter Germany lol damn that’s one hell of a name
As non-gamer who used to travel with this bus - the amount of realism that can be reached nowadays is insane. Btw, Jeff, traffic moving straight has the right of way in regulated crossings. Keep up the good entertainment, I like your videos
Hi. Thankyou for mentioning about my hazard light comment. That was awsome. I like how you take the comments on board and practice them in-game.
Absolutely! Thank you for the insight 😁
Jeff gotta love the big truck parked on top of the color changing car at 26:05 incase you missed it.
4:02 Are we gonna talk about the flying truck or no
h h m m m m
0:24 I love the zoom in 🤣🤣🤣
Hey Jeff. I'm a mechanic for those Scania buses and the steering is like x20 more sensitive than that, they turn on a dime. In Australia where I'm from we have the O-Bahn track and they fly almost at 100KMH.
Love to see your enjoying your time with this game, I bought it on my laptop on steam and later realised that it does not have enough storage and ram to play it so I’ve wasted 20 or so pounds on it and can’t even play it, I do enjoy seeing others play it tho
Hopefully they add passenger interaction like in the other bus sim. If was hilarious to hear passengers complain and talk about random tv shows. As much as it was annoying it brought amazing moments.
I've always had a massive amount of respect for you Jeff as you don't forcefully promote your channel. Keep making the great content mate.
Well Jeff we see peds walking down the street with no umbrellas in GTAV and shorts in snow, lol! It would be nice if they were updated when it rains or snows and more ped models too.
How great would it have been if jeff had got to the airport and then switched over to msfs and took off from this airport as a extra long episode
I played "Omsi bus simulator" about 10 years ago, it had more buses, really liked those old buses, the way they screeched, huffed, and puffed, no gps, no electronics. The game didn't had almost any hints, so i had to learn all the key bindings.
The passangers, where all the same, with those creepy eyes, and empty look on there faces, wayting for their change, they could have update them at least. (Couldn't sleep after the first sesison).
Map is the same. Cool editor, tryed making a map myself, almost succeded, then my computer crashed.
The cars are new, the lorry's are old, and they had some nice vintage cars too, like to see them again along with the older buses.
Great vid, and thx 4sharing, I'll definitely have gotta get my hands on one.
When Jeff said, "always thank the bus driver" that brought me back to when I use to take the bus for school and I would always say Thank you! Some kids would never say thank you for some reason. Always thank the bus driver!
I’m actually going for my CDL testing next week. Trying to get into New Jersey Transit since the hiring process is easier now.
NJT ain't bad but the split shifts are bullshit
You zooming in on the patron’s faces at the beginning sent me 😂😂😭😭🤣🤣
Jeff, it's to your credit that you make watching someone play a bus driving simulator so entertaining and interesting!
RE: Most passengers already having tickets. Given it's afternoon rush hour, maybe the workers returning home already bought their 24-hour tickets in the morning?
Fun fact: 4 people cannot be first
Apparently in the CZcams world 100+ people can be first in a single video
Everyone likes different things.
But I'm here for everything you post! I enjoy all your content.
"always thank the bus driver": It's how you spot the Brits in Germany; they are the ones that thank the driver when getting off :D
Love the vid keep up the good work
I like watching all your videos you have that knack to keep people interested and entertained I never thought I would enjoy a bus sim or your trucking sim but you pull it off thank you
There's so much bloom everywhere 😆
Hopefully everyone is having a good day today back it with the amazing Jeff stay safe out there and keep with positive thoughts and vibes people.
In Germany in the left turn lane you have to yield to the oncoming traffic until it has passed. It sucks because it means only a few cars will get to go through the left turn lane every cycle. So to answer your question, you need to yield to the oncoming traffic in the left turn lane.
Your bus driving skills remind me of a good friend of mine, Ben O., who works for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) on its Victory Division, based out of 69th Street Terminal in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, just outside of Philadelphia.
25:16 In Serbia, front door is always like that. You can imagine how cramped it is when there's a rush hour.
All these bus simulators seem to be heavily based outside the US, I like all buses don't get me wrong but I'd love a really detailed school bus game or something, maybe set in a rural setting, or maybe one day ATS will get buses.
Jeff, I believe you're a good person. Others would agree too. As you were saying in this video, you never ask for subscribers, you have some great friends that you promote. It's not all about yourself, saying we must subscribe, etc. It's really annoying seeing channels like that. I get turned off by people stopping their commentary and placing subscribe / bell animations and saying: "Thanks guys for watching so far, please subscribe to my channel, hit the bell for notifications on future uploads," and so on.
I am here for the content, the person. To enjoy watching you play and talk about absolutely anything throughout the whole video. No video is ever the same, it may be the same game but you always have some sort of story to talk about.
I am glad you are enjoying playing, you don't feel forced to play something, and you do videos that is good for everyone. From a hectic GTA police chase, all the way to a calming bus ride and everything in between.
When I gave about 10 or so subscribers the other day on Twitch, you never forced me at all to do that, it's just you and the community have been great. I enjoyed talking to them. So I hope those people who got the subscriptions really enjoy it too! Not to mention, I never see people accusing you if things go wrong, some things you may miss in-game or you're not sure about, but people are polite in correcting you or letting you know. It's also cool to see the different places people live in, like reading through these comments on Berlin, all the facts and stuff. It's interesting to read.
Hey Elite great to see you here, thank you for the kind message. I truly appreciate the support and generosity you have given on my twitch channel as well. It’s people like yourself that keeps me going 😄
Another awesome video I enjoyed that alot and im enjoying the bus videos can't wait for more and can't wait to see this game come along and keep up the great work much love to you jeff have a good one take care god bless and see ya on the next one
This is awesome Jeff ! 😀😀
Never want you to be quiet jeff you're hilarious and bring joy to so many people
you don't wait for people to sit down when you're on a time table. And city buses have all those things to hold onto, so people just have to hold on when they get on. Remember, the driver cannot be held responsible for people getting injured on the bus, unless you can prove it was due to reckless driving
Awesome! :) Will have to watch the CRJ video later in the afternoon. Keep up the positivity Jeff!
Jeff talking about people only liking some of his videos yet i watch every video
The trucks sverwing into the bus lane is very realistic. Sometimes when I drive along highways in Stockholm with my coach I have to slow down. You cant really pass trucks on the inside at 70 km/h. If they get just a few inches into your lane, you have no left mirror.
Nice to see the city AI isn’t too terrible. I dreaded driving in cities in Fernbus because the AI was atrocious which would end up in permanent traffic jams quite often.
3:43 the construction on unter den linden is probably to do with the extension of the U bahn line 5.
never change Jeff! your commentary to the videos is so entertaining. Top video
16:29 WOW THAT'S AN AMAZING BRITISH ACCENT
Busses do turn on the hazard lights and when they do other cars are only allowed to overtake the bus _very slowly._ That has to be observed by cars on both sides of the road.
26:05 (Notices the blue hatchback buried in the back of a parked box truck...)
Cuts in front of traffic: "Sorry, I'm new here." The tourist excuse will not work when driving the city bus. lol! Love these bus videos brother. I'm thinking of buying it, even in the current state.
when you approach a stop you don't have to turn on your hazard warning lights. in Germany, this is only permitted for school buses at marked stops. if a bus does that, it must not be overtaken. Flashing on the right when entering the stop and flashing on the left when exiting
Greetings from a German bus driver
Jeff amazing video sir thank you keep it up look forward to a full series of this game
I'd like to say Jeff. I think most of your fans "subscribers" watch all of your content. All the things you do, what you cover in your content. I thoroughly enjoy, and play the same games. Love the sims games. Planes, trains, and automobiles baby!!!!
Boogity boogity boogity
Long time fan Jeeeefffffaaarrrryyy!!!!
Yes, you give way to the drivers in front of you when doing left turn
I personally will always turn on my 4-ways stopping at bus stop because I am stopping in traffic, its also a courteous thing to let cars pass you while you are stopped picking up passengers as long as you turn off your 4-ways and signal away from the curb there isn't much of a danger. I don't like it when my fellow bus drivers don't use their 4-ways because we have a safety policy that states that we can not pass another bus that doesn't have their 4-ways on. and not turning on their 4-ways they are essentially preventing me from continuing my route.
I feel like im the twilight zone when I watch your videos. It just helps me forget life for a little lol.
Your rendition of "invalidenpark" was spot on!
Idk how the rules are in the USA.
But in Germany you have to let the oncoming traffic pass if you want to turn left.
Fun Fact: Tegel Airport has been closed while the game was developed.
i use my honeycomb yoke to steer in ats
Jeff, I've been a sub ever since you were a cop in Liberty City. And it just so happens that I enjoy all of the same games as you. Cheers to your success bud 🍻
Thank you 😊
great video Jeff keep up the good work man, after watching a lot of your ATS videos the last few days I decided to check it you and man I love that game its a lot of fun.
a lot of roads in berlin don't have a divider and still are two or three lane. and you never really know whether they are or not.
it's so much fun to drive here :|
True CZcams legend man. Good advice, great content !
Love your videos
Thank you for uploading this video Jeff I'm super excited for a new video ❤️
When you first opened the doors at the beginning of the video it scared the crap out of me😆
Got to say your laugh is hilarious. Every time you laugh I laugh. *insert your laugh here*
I might buy this game it looks cool, I'm thinking of getting a driving set up going for ATS and games like this.
Got my vaccine yesterday and I’m a poorly fella today. In a lot of pain too and struggling to settle in bed but been catching up on these bus vids and I’m super chilled. Hope you’re well matey. Stay safe
You too Mike! Have a good weekend
This game look so good, I have been waiting for a game like this to come out.
Hahah! The truck at 4:04 😂😂😂
This game looks fun. Simulator games are developing along so nice.
Had fun watching this Jeff. Don't do truck sims (I watch your channel for flight sim mostly) but I live in Germany (not in Berlin, in Frankfurt). I laughed every time you tried to pronounce German, good effort mate 😅(I am not German btw, so my accent isn't far better). I may be mistaken but one of the last stop that you struggled to pronounce was "Buchenholz weg" (pronounce "burhenhols vek") meaning "beech wood way". Suggestion. You could do a video where you become a Lufthansa pilot taking off from Tegel to your home town in the US in MSFS
City busses in europe:
Stops from full to zero in a second
Passenges loaded, full throttle
Passenges standing, full throttle
Green light, full throttle
Speed bumps, full throttle
No right of way, full throttle
You get the point 😛
This was a great ride and I always enjoy being on the JF Express!
In northern germany we say: What is an umbrella? We don´t need that things haha..
night time snow is amazing
Great video enjoyed it very much .Take care
Jeff said “Taco Bell “ 🤣🤣
another great video keep up the awesome work Jeff!
I happen to be one that loves all the content, I’ll watch it no matter what it is 🤓 Thanks!
4:00 when the truck freaked out
Good to see you back jeff! Now we need to see Sarge drive a bus!!!!
Thanks a lot Jeff!
I wish they made a UK city it'd be fun to drive on the left side.
ha this video was really fun to watch! Subbed :)
Love these videos when I'm playing grindy games
I like this video I think you should do one where you start off at the bus garage setting up your bus and head into the airport and pick up passengers in a snowstorm
nah that intro got me dead
Just purchased The Bus! Looking forward to playing it!
What you call Aldi in Germany is Aldi-Süd and the you've got Aldi-Nord and that is called Trader Joe's in north America. What you see on your route is a Aldi-Nord.
4:05 truck popping a wheelie lol
