Herobrine is likely an evil entity/ spirit, somehow inserted into the digital world (via ritual) in the early versions of minecraft, and has evolved.

I was playing minecraft one time and I went into an abandoned village but it wasn't decayed and through the window for a split second I saw a black figure with no mouth or eyes but blood came out of where its eyes should have been and 2 seconds after it disappeared my screen went black and i died and my computer stopped working so i had to get a new one
