@@VivioSaf I can't stand Aqua she's not competent to be a Goddess. I thought Gods and Goddesses were supposed to be all knowing. The fact Aqua max leveled and used her skill points for party tricks says a lot about the lack of intelligence she has. The answer is yes.

Unlike Bug, Aqua is quite simple in her needs, and is quite skilled at artisanship & craftmanship, especially when it comes to construction work (she literally repaired a CASTLE faster than the enemy could use Explosion on it (i.e teleport there, use Explosion, teleport away for a few hours to recap on mana, then teleport back & use Explosion, teleport away & repeat until win) to rupture its wall for the Demon armies to rush in.), which makes sense as a Water Goddess she's a patron deity of artisans & craftsmen, because alcohol is technically water-based
@@skebaba918 Bit of a spoiler ... Makoto can also be pretty revengeful, like Tanya. I can easily see that scene when Tanya gets mad, after hearing Aqua call herself a goddess, happen with Makoto. And I doubt they can convince Aqua's behavior doesn't match with the Bug's. What he hates in the Bug, isn't what she can or can't do, but how frivolous and irresponsible she seems to be. He may not shoot her out of existence with his arrows, but I doubt she would get out without, at least, a good punch.
This show has a little Overlord undertones to it. The MC doesn't know what Tomoe and Mio are doing much like Albedo and Demiurge from Overlord. Tomoe is one of my favorite characters because she is wily and smart. There is a lot of self interest in what she does which is a nice change of pace for a character like her unlike an Albedo or a Raphtalia. I like Albedo and Raphtalia a lot but Tomoe is a unique character to me. Tomoe is 100 times better than Tio from Arifureta. They could have done a better job on Tio.
They didn't understand each other for a long time, and most of the time it was Makoto adjusting to the role of ruler, which he had trouble accepting due to his humble demeanor, and Japanese upbringing. Tomoe, however, while working behind the scenes a lot, was very much open with her concerns, and took Makoto's feelings into account when deciding to not inform him of certain events, and they did discuss the future multiple times openly. In contrast to Ainz, Makoto did embrace his role, and proudly stood in front of the nation he created, and steering it in direction he saw fit. So while I agree the initial premise is indeed similar, both stories diverge quite a lot in vibe, even ignoring MC's alignment.
