Just when everyone thinks Timo is done and dusted he surprises us all with these kind of amazing performances. A true legend of the game 💯❤
He's not as consistent as he used to be, but people are far too quick when assuming he's finished. I mean Boll won against Mengel, Jorgic, Falck, Jang Woojin and Xiang Peng within the last three months. And in most matches he lost in this period - like against Moregardh, Duda and Franziska - he at least only lost 2:3.

well, I´m really happy to see timo in good shape again after his long shoulder injury with WR-downslipp to 182 better from match to match.
His journey begins here by wining 3:0 against Jang Woo-jin (WR 12) and Noshad Alamiyan (WR 53), Lee Sang Su 3:1 (WR 26), and on Final Day 3:2 against Lin Yun Yu (WR 7) and in the final his first WTT-victory in the new series with nearly 43 years (born 1981 8th of march) : 4:3 vs Tomokazu Harimoto (WR 11) - after 2:3 sets and 3:8, 5:9 points against him in the 6th - a true legendary player with best abilitys in serivce and tactical returns, by strong spin-variations und strong, anticipated counter-abilities over and near the table. And: he is a fair, humble, groundstanding mentalist with extraordinary comeback -ablites .. wow, I love it! 🥰 timo boll, the master

I reckon this match is the demonstration that the average player, me included, relies too much on power shots, while spin, control and placement are far more important and effective to play good strokes

Timos close to table playstyle works really well vs JWJ who is not playing at his best...
i think it's insulting to say that JWJ is not playing at his best, it's more like Timo just read him well and made JWJ to make good plays so hard in this match.

Jang Woojin stepped around too much to avoid his weaker backhand but his forehand wasn't the best today

@@ttime9947I've only seen him play a few times, but never picked up on his weak backhand
@@mryan4452yeah I never noticed his weak backhand, but he definitely steps around way too much and prefers his forehand. Even when he plays a backhand, he usually pivots straight after. Timo really exploited this by either putting it down the line, or threatening to put it down the line which made Jang play a non-confident shot on the pivot. Jang played very unstable here.
Jang Woojin should have stayed and played more backhands which got him points or atleast helped him stay in the rallies, but he lost a ton of points trying to pivot and take forehands resulting into so many unforced errors, Timo creates really wide angles with his inside out loops.
Can i check who complained about the old camera angle???

It’s not that timo play so good it’s jang played really really bad! This guy can destroyed top Chinese players
hmm. i think timo plays so well, not so powerful but very accurate in placing balls which makes JWJ uncomfortable. He also exposed JWJ's weakness. It's just that Timo is a better player in this match by reading his opponents very well.
