- We've got another classic video game review in NBA Live 2004. It was at the peak of the NBA Live franchise at the time and is as fun as its predecessor.
Trailer footage and music by EA Sports and Vince Carter highlights courtesy of the NBA and their respective broadcasters. Dawson's Creek and The Office footage courtesy of WB11 (The CW) and NBC respectively

This will stand as one of the best sports video games of all time. This was so polished, the soundtrack in my opinion was the best of the series. All around 10/10
Best sports games of all time? 😂😂😂
How many sports games have you even played? Not many probably.
The soundtrack was 🔥
i still have it for gamecube
In NBA Live 2004, the setup of the stands in all the stadiums are unique, while in NBA Live 2003, they all looked identical.
The gameplay was so fluid, and TMac was a cheat code on here. You could easily get 40 with him.
Truely he was Steph Curry with the shot 😆
Orlando T-Mac is a cheat code in real life haha!
Bunch of good teams on live
I remember modifying the database file of this game via PC using Microsoft Access then transforming Shaq and Big Ben into a Steph Curry
good times , good life
My first nba game my grandma bought a copy for me, great memories
NBA 2003 was really fast paced/ arcade ish, 2004 was more realistic, and the free style control to do crossovers was 🔥
This game definitely had u wanting more when it came out❤❤❤❤
This is the greatest basketball game to me besides NBA Jam and 2K11. Thing is it was so much to do but this was MJ’s last video game and they premiered NBA Store were you could pick Jordan’s to wear and put in codes to unlock everything. First game to do it. If 2K makes the dribbling like the freestyle control it’s going to be a problem.
3:45 Scottie pippin was active on live 05
Why do so many people who play and review this game suck at the gameplay?
No moves, no strategy, and completely selling this game short.
This is a great game. I always use the Lakers as they are my team. Good review man
It is and thank you! Appreciate it.
Same. I also use the Pistons, cause they won the finals that season.
Doesn't hurt that the Lakers had a 98 rating. I used the Kings, 95 rating. Really good games.
What's the name of the chant song at 2:14 ?
This was the last good NBA Live.
I disagree, nba live 2005 was 🤷🏽♂️
Definitely 05 was
This was my 2k #99 baby
only thing i didnt like wAS how the ball handler would back the opponent when you would try to dribble.
You said Live fell off after this game. So you didn't like Live 2005 ???
Not as much. Thought the two games were too similar as far as controls were and features for the most part.
@@thefurae966 I feel you. To me this was Live's prime years Live 03, 04 and 05. I get alot of nostalgia thinking back to when I played those growing up. Live 05 is still my favorite one mainly because of all star weekend and the dunk contest being included. I say Live started to fall off when PS3/360 came out. That's when 2k started to takeoff.
@@kang6914 Definitely. The All-Star weekend and the dunk contest were a nice addition. I actually didn't first play Live until Live 09 on PS2 which was my first year watching the NBA. But for sure that was when 2K took off. My favorite has to be Live 2003 but you can check out my Live 2003 review also on this channel if you like.
@@thefurae966 yeah I watched your Live 03 review too lol good videos. I started watching the NBA in the 03-04 season but I was a little kid so it took some years before I actually started to understand basketball. Live 03 brings back so much nostalgia man just listening to the soundtrack.
@@kang6914 Thanks and nice. The soundtrack is very good overall and agree.
My favorite is Live 02 & Live 99 Tecmo Basket &
liveeee not liv-e ..and its jemaine du-preee not dupr-i...smdh how you get the singer and name of the song wrong
He’s definitely not connected, he simply reads with no emotion
U know u can crossover right?😂😂😂😂😂 no moves
Jermain dopri lmao
Had me rolling he needs to blow his nose
😂
Bosh was was also from the 2003 draft
When you make these voiceovers make sure not to be sick or at least blow ur nose or learn how to breathe through your nose
