Josh puts a +1/+1 counter on all his creatures then he makes a token. Why josh, why?
An then goes on to play another creature :D
He wanted vigilance for the attack, then the attack triggered the creature generation
Drift Wisp wrong. He plays scalding tarn and puts counters on his guys then he immediately cracks the scalding tarn to make a token all before combat.
Make the two tokens and play the creature than give everyone a +1/+1 counter therefore adding 3 counter to the play. Josh failed to be a big brain player
@@insertnamehere1089 No, because he wants vigilance when he attacks, so he has to make a token first, then use +1/+1, then he can make an other token with the sword of the animist. Can not go creature/creature/+1/+1
The politics in this game was so back handed lool, I'm so glad D won because everyone's politics was basically 'D's not a threat but he can kill the problem player so I'll just let him do that and swing at him in the mean time.' Justice is served haha

D made a point on the roundtable that if he teamed up with Josh and killed Jimmy and Carolyn, Josh would just kill him a turn or two later. He was to much of a threat.

Josh wish 36 power on the board “I don’t know how to kill the flyers” man just kill D. He was shields down.
Yup. Could have killed him and left back blockers for the rest. Surprised he didn't make that decision, although he had to think ahead to how many buffs he'd be getting with his Felidar Retreat.
Edit: Right, he didn't even need to "leave back" blockers, because Felidar Retreat grants vigilance.
He didn't need to hold back blockers his whole board had vigilance.
If you don't have creature removal, use player removal!
Fairly certain he knew he could knock D out, but didn't want to as they usually want to feature the guests more than themselves.

"i'm not gonna count the damage" says josh, when he probably could've killed D with an alpha strike, and then only taken the unblockable 2 the next turn.
yeah, he had 37 damage on board, he would've dealt lethal.
Yeah, it was a little weird, but was probably just to showcase all the decks. It definitely would have been tight still, imho. The power and value that Jimmy was generating was getting to the point of being able to zone in on Josh pretty strongly.
Definitely true. Cause if you don't have creature removal, player removal works too. But as was said, it's nice to show off all the decks and prevent a feels bad moment knocking someone down almost from full starting life.

Josh in Command Zone: Boros is the worst color combination, it is so weak compared to others.
Josh in Game Knights: Watch me as I almost win 1 vs 3 with a Boros deck.
Also I am so glad D won after he beating Josh alone almost singlehandedly while others didn't contribute at all.
To be fair, Josh kills half of himself a lot due to fetch land and tomb. And the 2/1 unblockable went a couple times his way.
Josh plays risky a lot which is fun to watch (like how he self milled himself A LOT; which jimmy won by finishing by milling the last of the library)

I feel like D would have had a better chance if he'd made an alliance with Josh after his 'alliance' either made no effort to take Josh out or attacked him instead of Josh.
Given how things ended, it didn't matter this time, but it might be worth talking about.
On a positive note, I loved that Mage Slayer animation!
I'm with you his "party" chipped in a bit but really relied on him to take Josh out. If he had made an actual alliance with Josh right in Josh's moment of need I think he could have won.
D's party:
Did 2 dmg to josh and destroyed sword of feast and famine....
and did 7 dmg to D. And played greater good.
Yeah i would have contracted josh to take out at least the player who hit me just from spite and given him no dmg till last 2.
Which would have been a *great* deal for Josh.

Like tbh here. What type of person are you to say hey, “I’m gonna lower how much money you make yearly, but I’m gonna give you more work” like it’s mind boggling.
Yeah, some players believe that persuation is a legit strategy. I think it might work once or twice, but overall it creates negativity bias and diminishes fun for targeted person.
That sounds exactly like most corporations. So technically speaking, it's a sound business practice.
If I were in the same position (not knowing exactly what cards he had in hand of course) I would absolutely try to make a deal with Josh to say “I won’t kill you this turn if you don’t go after me on your turn”
this was a lot of fun to watch, but it feels like the party mechanic in commander takes a long time to get value, plus drawing 13 cards with no answer in em is a lot of feel bad

2 things here: Josh could have equipped the engineer to have protection with akiri (still not working on -1/-1 but anyway). And D could have sacrificed gray merchant to bring back on attack and trigger an additional time to kill (maybe more safely) :3 Great Play ^^
I believe there was an additional non-legendary in D's graveyard. Regardless, he won :)

I love the lay out more in this one then the previous ones. It makes it easier to read the cards and follow the flow for me.
Josh tapping that Ancient Tomb was a real bro move. He did them all a real solid.
33:33 Why did Carolyn not Assassin Trophy only after Josh declared to go to Combat? If she had baited Josh to use all his mana before showing the removal spell, it would have ruined Josh's whole strategy for the turn!

To be honest, and not to be an as*hole, I thought she was making weak play and bad decisions a lot. Maybe not as an experienced player as the other 3. Also, her deck was really weak.. Party mechanic is baddd
I actually thought that wasn't the worst idea. If she'd done it in combat, Josh could have used Akiri's ability in response to make her indestructible. Using it in upkeep means he doesn't really get to do that because it would tap her and deny him the ability to attack.

You're assuming quite a lot here, pal. One game is really not big enough of a sample size to judge the strength of a deck or its pilot. And even if it was, she didn't do many plays that were objectively misplays? Just because you preface a sentence with "not to be an asshole" doesn't make it less harsh.

I loved the party deck so much, especially because 1. Tazri had the best animation, 2. everyone was saying how bad party was at the beginning, and 3. how close she came to winning! Awesome episode.

Yes...technically - but he tapped 2 white sources for the mindstone. Chances are he did it right the 1st time, then they did a 2nd take and that time he tapped the wrong things and that's what we see. He very much had the capability to get the Mind Stone and Sram out though.

This is this first time I'm looking into MTG gameplay. I have only played a couple times, many years ago, I remember nothing about it. I wanted to say, this was a very well put together video.
