- The Northwest Adventurer (NWA) is testing out the BYRNA LE versus the BYRNA HD to gauge how much more power the LE has versus the HD.
You’ll be the judge to see if the LE is a worthy companion for a less lethal option.

Yes, they are a lot of fun and pretty darn accurate as well.
I just baught the LE, got it about 4 days on the mail. I haven't had a chance to fire it yet. I live in a highly densely populated and very highly police patroled area, also right next to a massive Sunoco refinery, so i definitely dont need them being called on me for trying a few rounds, even if it is basically a very powerful, smaller paintball gun for the most part. But the feel of it, the look( except the bulky stock 12g co2 adapter)(waiting on my new one from Mercy less lethal), but all around I love it even though I haven't been able to fire yet. From all the videos I've seen its powerful as hell, including this one.
Right on. The LE is definitely a great acquisition for LL. Folks would definitely confuse this for a FA when seen in public. I’m lucky to live in a wooded area with lots of opportunities to practice with my LLs. Thanks for watching the video and commenting. 🤙🏽

LE packs more power, both won’t kill but you want that first shot to count.
My original HD is now used as a paperweight collecting dust and I was never interested in the SD. However, I was excited when they released the LE and have been carrying it ever since. 🍻
Very cool thanks for sharing no byrnas yet but I do have the umarex hdp50 and the hdr50 11 joules version but yeah it’s pretty crazy how accurate they are with a smooth bore barrel not sure if the byrnas have a rifled barrel or not
Thanks for watching the video konaboss83. I also own an HDR50 and like that one a lot. It is also a lot of fun for target shooting and it’s quite powerful for what it is. I don’t believe the BYRNA has a rifled barrel but I haven’t checked either to confirm.

@@NorthwestAdventurerNWA As much as I liked the HD XL, the LE is far more powerful, especially those first 5 rounds. So I keep one in my truck, and the other in my house. I hope I never have to initiate contact, but if I do, I'm ready to rumble!!

What rounds put the hole in the can ….do you recommend the LE for a security guard and we can not shoot pepper in California
Hello Steven, The BYRNA Kinetic Projectiles were used in this video. However, for EDC I prefer to load up the Riot Balls (yellow). IMO, the Riot Balls perform better than most kinetic projectiles I’ve launched.

Although I live in Washington, I’ve heard there’s a class/course you could take (in California) to be certified to carry and use Pepper Projectiles. You may want to research that and then I’d recommend purchasing the Grimburg KinetiCS, as shown in this video. grimburg.me/product-category/projectiles/

I just got my grimburgs in I'm curious if they will burst I have the LE as well..what's your load out day to day
If you have the Grimburg Kinetics by Duke they should hold up just fine and not burst on you. I prefer to use the yellow Riot Balls, as they’re very effective when launched.

I haven’t personally launched the Grimburgs yet but from what I’ve heard they are quite effective and will burst upon impact. The 68. Cal yellow nylon Riot Balls weigh in at 3.9 Grams. 🤠
3.9g sounds like a good weight..I currently have 5g load out mixed with the grimburgs..where did you get the yellow riots

It’s not too loud like a firearm but the BYRNAs are loud enough to draw some attention. I typically shoot on my property and have never had any complaints from my neighbors.

Does this make sense for self defense or people mostly get it for fun?
The BYRNA Platform is used for both. However, for me it’s mostly for fun and it can be carried virtually anywhere since it’s not a firearm. Whereas in some buildings and even National Parks do prohibit weapons. With that said, I do believe the BYRNA LE 68 Caliber Projectile Launcher when used correctly would deter most attackers. Add the Grimburg Kinetics to the mix and you’ll most likely shut down the perpetrator quickly. 🐕🤠🐕

@davitavagyan1851 Oh yeah, there’s some others to consider such as the Grimburg Gavle 1.5, Umarex HDR68, and the Umarex HDR50. There’s some more but these are the Less Lethals I’ve handled.

@user-bf6go9nf6g I haven’t tested the Gavle v1.5 yet but I’ve it’s quite powerful vs. The BRYNA LE. However, I’m not too excited about the twisting of the co2 to get it going in a stressful scenario.
can you reuse the kinetics?
Yes, you can reuse Kinetic Projectiles. They’ll pierce right through steel Cans but if you hit Rocks then they’ll crack/chip and will no longer be usable.
i reuse the kinetics all the time i just grab a cardboard box stuff a pillow and blanket inside

These launchers can barley stop a fly ..don't waste your money for 10 joules..really need at least 50 joules to truly stop a attacker.
