Open master league turned into the credit card league after we went from level 40 to 50
No longer offering level 40 leagues was just the start. Things like putting out OP legends/mythics (zygarde, solgaleo) that you can only get 1 or two of, forcing you to pay for poffins or get 100s of rare xl candy/1000s of rare candy from raids or the premium gbl tract.
Also things like busted mons only being in raids for just a weekend or two (origin palkia and dialga), which means only the big spenders will get these op mons. Necrozma will be the next one like that.
Oh and dont forget them tuning down the legendary ecounter rate for gbl rewards down to like 1 or 2% chance or smthng to make sure you basically never get them
...
I missed a couple raid periods and that's it , cant keep up lol I loved this leauge and invested time and money just to sit there lol

You’re right about ML players (like myself). Seeing a lot of the same matchups helps solidify counts and meta understanding far better than GL. Yes, ML has a barrier to entry. But it’s a blast to play.
I prefer the unfiltered wild spice available in GL. A narrow, predictable meta is fine for gaining meaningless brag points, but it's not fun and it's not interesting.

This is random, but I’m sure some will agree, Alolan Sandslash is the most annoying mirror matchup imo.
Edit: I don’t mean annoying as in time consuming, I mean annoying with how bait and call dependent it is.
At least with that mirror, super effective damage is possible and shadow claw will provide fast move pressure
You haven’t experienced fresh hell until you’ve suffered through a Chansey ditto. Although almost no one is running Chansey.
More common, horrific mirrors are Umbreon, flying Umbreon and Lickitung mirrors

@@BlanBlan19901990 The thing that makes it annoying isn’t the fact that it takes forever to me, it’s how devastating it is to shield a double resisted ice punch or try to call a one shotting drill run. Mandibuzz = Flying Umbreon 😂
