I like that Greninja stayed in his home to protect his region. He didn't need to stay in Oak's Lab because that was a waste of his talent. Greninja is a hero and he needs to active.

His story arc was well-written. Greninja was truly an amazing Pokémon. Let's hope there comes the day that Greninja will return.

I reckon theryre saving that for the big battle vs leon, it makes sense that ash would go all out agiasnt the unbeatable champion. Greninja, charizard, lucario, pickachu, secptile, heracross sounds like a good final team.
It's really frustrating that I don't feel like we can ever really get too attached to any of Ash's Pokémon because they always seem to get left behind or go with another trainer after a major development.

You know what that's what actually makes sense Zack is however an Ash Greninja fan I mean kind of blame the guy look at the style look at the art even I have the Pokemon card of it not to mention religious really the most popular Pokemon in the entire franchise he's number one and everything no joke is the most populated Lucario

Greninja lost its personality after evolving from frogadier and became just a battler

God, I feel goosebumps when I remember XY days... it was when I came back to the franchise and feel like a kid again... I watched every single episode of Kalos directly from Japan with English subtitles (English is not even my first language)! Mega Evolutions and Ash Greninja were so awesome arcs.

I remembered while preparing for Pokemon X and Y’s releases, I was able to get a glimpse of the starters’ fully evolved forms. The moment I saw Greninja, I knew I was going to go with Froakie. Since then, Greninja has became one of my favorite Gen 6 Pokemon (Along with Noivern), one of my favorite starters, and my favorite Pokemon of all time and seeing the growth of Ash’s Greninja only reinforced my love for the badass ninja frog! Thank you so much for covering another fan favorite, Professor! It’s clear how hard you worked on this video and it definitely paid off!

Usually I have a hard time choosing a starter, but for XY, Froakie seemed like an obvious choice for me.
I was going to pick Froakie as my starter in XY but the anime was at the point to where I knew Greninja and Frogadier so I picked Chespin instead to see his evolutions. I like Chestnaught but the whole time I was just like "Man, I can't wait to pick Froakie after this playthrough"

Okay hear me out. I think the *IDEA* of Greninja getting released was a good one. The writers thought it was way too special to just bum around at Oak's so they gave it something important to do in Kalos instead. The execution however is horrible. The whole point of stopping Z2 in the Team Flare arc was to stop the demon vines so now that Z2's under control, why are they still here. They were his vines, can't he control them? And how is Greninja, a Pokemon with no relation to Zygarde, able to see/sense them? It makes no sense. Once again, I can get behind the *IDEA* of Greninja's release, I just don't think it was executed well.
I still think Ash should not have released him, or he should at least come me back.
I prefer that Ash's Pokemon train or do something special rather than stay at the lab (unless being at the lab is special e.g. Bulbasaur)

I genuinely think that by the end of the League, had it not been for PLOT, that Greninja would have been at least equal to Alain's Charizard. Keep in mind that that Charizard was made to be a powerhouse, so Greninja is incredibly impressive power-wise and could maybe rival Pikachu. Also, Charizard whooped and styled on Greninja before, so Greninja made mad progress.
I think Greninja definitely had the potential, but in terms of experience, Charizard was just way too far ahead of the curve. It beat significantly more opponents in its final form, and had a much better track record
@@ProfessorAlexSilver that and stat wise, greninja is sorta frail while charizard is more balanced and the water attacks turn neutral because of the mega evolution’s dragon typing.

@@mcadamshub7351 In additional to Mega Charizard X abilities which is Tough Claw where it boosts the power of the Pokémon's contact moves. No wonder, Thunder-Punch and Dragon Claw hurts a lot, especially Thunder Punch where it is a disadvantage to Greninja. Overall, I;m looking forward to see a rematch of Alain's Charizard and Ash Greninja.

I see we're starting the lessons of 2022 with a bang! Greninja really is in my top 10 Ash Pokemon and I loved it's backstory, destined bond with Ash and their work towards mastering the bond phrnomenon. This Pokemon might not have the title of Champion but does havd the title of hero of Kalos.

@@eljordinio7647 Greninja’s talents would be wasted at Oak’s lab. Like one of the other commenters said, Greninja needs to be active as he’s a hero. Now the reasoning for him staying behind in Kalos was really f***ing stupid, and it would’ve been better if he either was stationed with Sycamore to study the Battle Phenomenon, or be stationed in the ninja village to gain further training from Sanpei (The ninja with the greninja) and possibly learn more of the Greninja that achieved the transformation hundreds of years ago.
My point is Greninja shouldn’t slack off.

Honestly the X&Y series was the best! The story, pacing, character development, battles, animation was on point. I’m so sad that bedsides those little Pokémon short series we’ll never get something more mature like this. But then again I haven’t seen the newest series. I’ve seen clips and it seems they may be worth watching

I just recently finished the XYZ series. Frokie to Geninja's journey was amazing. I always see Greninja losing to Alain's Charizard before the league as a setup of Greninja is truly capable of. It's really disappointing how it lost in the league in the end. Winning it all would have been the ideal ending but atleast it only means that Greninja can still even more determined to be stronger even without Ash by his side anymore. Still, I would love to see Greninja again in the current series
I think it would've been cool to see him win, but Charizard was built up to be the ultimate fighter so I don't mind

I hope we one day see a 6 VS 6 Water type Battle between Ash and Misty with Ash's Greninja Dracofish Squirtle Corphish Buizel (maybe a few of them evolved) and Kingler VS Misty's Gyarados Starmie (her evolved Staryu) Politoed Azumarill Corsola and Kingdra with Squirtle VS Starmie (both first water types) starting the match and with many switchings and wins and losses letting Greninja (in Battle bond) VS Gyarados (in his mega form) (their strongest) ending their match

Definitely love this. Already loved Greninja before it got the form even more epic when it received it! Loved how it came back and trained with Lucario and we learned more about the bond phenomenon being more tied to aura. One of the best of our boy Ash!❤🐸

Greninja was the ultimate Pokémon in the series and strongest member of Ash’s team. I’ve wished that he and Ash would have won a single battle against Alain and his Charlizard. His journey through Kalos was awesome and one he could reunite with Ash and Pikachu.

That reminds me of the island of the giant pokemon and when ash and Charmander got together and evolved in to Charizard and finally went back to listening to ash. One of many people to have a good and powerful friendship with his pokemon.

Bond Phenomenon/Battle Bond is such a fascinating ability. For a while, I theorized it has to do with tapping into the aura of both trainer and Pokémon. Since Greninja is coming back and helping train Lucario in the anime, I’m sure this theory will come to fruition now.

It would be disappointing to have the same Ash-Greninja phenomenon with Lucario, as the only Pokemon to do the same,without including Ash's Greninja,dates back 300 years,but i think that Lucario will learn a new move.
I think it's something like the energy of the two combing through their souls making them in sync as if they were one being
I feel like Ash’s Sceptile is also one of his strongest Pokémon considering that he went head to head with legendaries and won
