The Shark book was great, I'll be doing a review hopefully soon. I'm hoping Good Thinking isn't a lot of filler since it's fairly long for that kind of topic
Dude, nice haul! As a lover of ecological succession, I Love lichens! And as a father, yes, we definitely have an obligation to future generations! Sorry for yelling!
Haha no problem. Lichens are very underrated for sure. And exactly right about being a father. I was always environmentally inclined but now I view things a lot as something I can't/won't ever be able to do with my son at some point.
Yeah, I'm lucky for that for sure. Whenever I pay for books it's usually used but if not, I never go more than 20 unless it's a gift or something so I wouldn't have picked this one up. Hopefully a used market builds up for it over time.
Good thinking sounds interesting. Sadly, schools are no longer teaching critical thinking. Well, apparently they aren't teaching math or geography anymore either. Which isn't fair to the students. My son knows some of his peers are angry because they cheated.
Sorta makes you wonder what's going to happen when this country is being run by a generation of people who can't think and don't know anything. Watch the movie Idiocracy. It ain't going to be pretty.
@@TriumphalReads Excellent question. Whatever math is in their grade level. Have you not heard about the children failing their grade level math? It's a massive dumpster fire. Incoming college students are having a hard time with basic math. and reading. Can we talk about the low level of reading skills? You haven't heard?
@BookZealots I mean I've heard people say similar things but I've been out of school for a little bit but the same things were being said when I was in school too. Like I went to a super super rural school and they didn't teach certain things more because there wouldn't be enough kids for calc or something. But I do agree that overall the education system needs to have some major reforms in general
@@TriumphalReads Wow, you must be the age of my kids or younger. I'm not talking calculus though. I'm talking basic math: adding, subtracting, multiplying, division. My son's teacher for one of his FAA classes had to teach his fifth grader long division because the teacher wasn't teaching it. Things like that. And it's not just the rural schools. It is nationwide, but of course some states being worse than others. for some reason I thought you had kids. My youngest has graduated, but I still receive information for public schools to be involved, because the youth is our future. Yeah, (nodding head). I totally agree with you. The education system needs some changes in general. Anyway, thank you for the conversation. I'm more than a little concerned about it. Can you tell? LOL
Nothing like being a bibliomaniac. More power to Triumphal Reads.
Could be a lot worse things haha
☀️ The lichen book looks interesting and beautiful! And gotta give you a 🦈 for the last book!
Haha makes sense to me!
Good Thinking and the book on sharks look especially interesting. ☀

⭐ "Lichens" looks amazing, and next on my list!

☀️Nice selection of books! I’m going to check some of them out.
Thanks, hope you like what you find out more about them!
You made reference to John’s channel but you didn’t end up putting the link down below. Also, I really want to read “Think”. It sounds interesting.
Think was a lot of fun. Just added John's handle into the description. Sorry @NicholasOfAutrecourt
☀ Great selection! ☀ (FYI, I don't often comment because I watch with my private account.)
No problem Ruben, glad you thought so! I'm slowly working on a list for my challenging books to do at some point down the road
@@TriumphalReads You're a great person to do that sort of list. I look forward to it!

Want that Polis book, just can't find it for under $50. I'll have to wait.

I will definitely check some of these out 😊. I love great recommendations ☀️
Awesome, glad you enjoyed them! 🌞
Lot of books here

What kind of math are they not teaching?
