It was one of the last major hits of his life. It also came from an underselling but critically acclaimed album. Maybe a lot of folks felt like Jay when hearing the album and missed the more in-your-face sexiness of KICK-era INXS.
If you see the real video , instead of this crap someone put together, you would understand the depth of this song. Which is that we are destroying the souls of our girls by valuing unachievable physical beauty above all else. Too bad you missed it.❤

Know how an actor can become typecast and end up only getting a certain type of role? This can happen with bands, also. INXS is in my top 5 favorite bands, sensational music. After listening to several of their more high-octane songs, this one might seem a bit out of place for these guys. As much as I love their full-tilt bangers, I also love their diverse works. To me, it keeps them from becoming typecast. We love Billy Idol for "REBEL YELL" and "MONY MONY", but when we hear "SWEET SIXTEEN" and "SUMMER RUNNING", we know he'll never be typecast.
