Marek K that’s not true at all, Ironworkers can. It’s impossible for us not to be under a load, literally the guys connecting the turbine are under the load lining up the bolt holes. When we tree iron we have 5 beams above our heads
Fabulous. Thank you so much. Was this in The Netherlands? I love these. One of the true marvels of modern technology and so beautifully designed. I am thrilled every time I see them.

@@markalanpeterson Greetings mark, do you have any more information about those massive cranes? Manufacturer, availability et cetera? I’ll be very grateful! John Wood
Usually the 1st can section ranges from 90mm-105mm nuts depending on the platform. Up top is around a 46mm. Been using MLC 650 cranes to build these the last 4 years but it just depends on the size of the components
Looooong tag lines... I was at a site in Pennsylvania a few months ago where they used two pickup trucks with "L"-brackets mounted in the receiver-hitches. Each bracket had a hand-crank (no different than the crank on a boat trailer) to adjust the tension on the lines so they could control the rotor during the lift.
As a carpenter, method of attachment and elemental forces such as gravity are always at the top of my focus on custom jobs. How these guys get a huge tubular/hollow pilllar attached to a concrete base to counter the effect of wind and gravity 300ft up is incredible and, at the same time, impermanent because many of them fail....
Gravity is just a theory, but man, you sure like to think it's real. Gravity this, gravity that. Newton could never fully explain it. Later declared it just a theory. Everything is mass, density, and buoyancy, gravity is a hoax.
if you could funnel the wind so it dragged the CO2 from the cities into forested areas where its needed by the trees...... that would be even better. POWER CLEANER.
Man I’m not trying to start some big ass argument over this but in my town they do almost literally nothing they barely spin and don’t actually provide ample power at all

What a waste of money and resources ! Wind power.... 1980's technology for stupid good doers, snowflakes and whale saviors. The same problem with Tesla and Elon Musk worshippers. CO2 is not a problem, at all. Global warming? No warming since 1997. Get an education and do the math. Grow up, stupid.
There a contradiction, they ruin the landscape and protect the landscape, i think you must see them as part of nature. Just consider a your greta great grandchildren finding a lump of spent nuclear fuel. I like them.
For anyone who lives within 5 miles of one of these turbines, it is a living hell. They hear the whooshing of the blades, the squeaks and groans of the turbines. And that is only the noise in our hearing spectrum. There is a background low frequency booming that we don't consciously hear but it manifests itself as sound that beats on your chest. People in the 1/4 to 1/2 mile circle have trouble sleeping, their kids are agitated all the time, and people have medical problems brought on by stress. Their property values are sunk to almost nothing and they can't afford to move without selling their property (which nobody would buy).
Jim R all that is complete bullshit. I lived within 500 m of one. I've also lived close to the sea. The sea was much noisier for about 3 weeks, then I didn't notice it any more. But you just keep sucking the fossil fuel Kool Aid sonny.

Beautiful and well done video.

Hope the guys bolting the sections together are paid well. Massive trust in the crane operator.
They are not paid well. They do trust us operators.

How do they protect the landscape? Actually curious. Lol they kinda scare me a little, I don't feel their natural at all.
