Oh thank you, I knew someone would have the list timestamped. Good man.
I was hoping they were gonna do Make It, which is my favorite by them
Grew up with Neil, Buzzy, Freddie and Stevie Beckmeier, David Kalish (Beckmeier Brothers, Fullmoon, Rascals), ...brings back a lot from my past. Nobody is better than Buzzy.
Damn straight! ;-)
I played guitar in Sarasota FL, everyone talked about Buzz , watched Niel play a few times on siesta key ,,
Simply the best guitar player I ever heard been following him since Butterfield years A complete original
OMG. This is heaven!! Never hoped to see these fantastic musicians again. I have all their material. These guys are the greatest on earth. Buzzy is by far the best guitar player I've ever heard! Thank you for this great post!!!
Neil Larsen - keyboards; electric piano; organ; synthesizer; backing vocals
Buzz Feiten - electric guitar; lead vocals
Rickey Minor - bass guitar
Lenny Castro - congas; bongos; timbales; percussion
Land Richards - drums; whistle
So sad how a prestigious institution cant provide very important info like this
Thanks a lot. 👍
Larsen Feiten Bandのこんなに長い動画は超貴重。見れて感激です!バズのギターはやっぱりかっこいい。
Thanks for sharing.
Larsen Feiten songs is still top on the list of my favourites since the 80's
Thank you for posting this show. For me it is a bit like finding the Holy Grail! I have been a long time huge fan of these guy's. This music is timeless and so well written and played.Thank you Neil and Buzz for all the great music! FANTASTIC!
Felt the same right now. Never heard them together since they never played in my country ( if I'm right). Now I know, what I missed. At least I heard Neil and Ricky with Al Jarreau, Buzz with Dave Weckl and Lenny with Toto, even with the great Jeff Porcaro. ❤
Are Neil and Buzz still playing together? Such a great find! 👏👍
erid larson gone now what a great guy great musician in whose studio a laid down some of the best work of my life. I love you brother you will always be in my heart. 4.25.2303
one of my favorite band of the seventies and eighties
First heard the Casino lights CD in 1987 and was really flashed....been a massive fan of both since then...Neil is truely a great composer .....always so melancholic...exactly my taste.....
Thank’s for sharing it. Very timeless Neil is a genius and Buzz too
Absolutely outstanding!
I was very lucky to know Neil in his Sarasota, Florida days way back in the early/mid 60s. We played together in high school and community jazz bands. It was clear then that he was a musical genius and destined for bigger things.

What a gift to all of us his music is!
I Love These Guys!!
What a Band....
Wow!! Fabulous...just fabulous!!
I hear that harmony at like 59 .and I see the smiles
This brings some big smiles to my face. Played their records daily. Never understood why they did not end up mainstream. Perhaps today they would. The most underrated band at the time. Proud owner of multiple copies of worn out records and holding on to them for dear life. Thanks for posting.
Maybe my all-time favorite band...thanks for posting. Their material and musicianship really holds up. Wow!
The best of MI Vault
One of very favorite bands...ever! Been listening to some amazing concerts of them on CZcams.

Wow! Fantastic! Love these guys! Thanks for posting!
aka "Mad Dad" Been a Larsen Feiten fan for many years since the
Full Moon era. Thanks for this video.
Neil and Buzz. As good as it gets. Looks like 89 or 90 to me. Thanks for this great post. Saw them live in 82 at the Country Club in Reseda. Fantastic!
I saw that Country Club show, too! It made me a believer! I wish they had done more gigs over the years, they were always great.
I grew up with their albums, knew all of theirs by heart but I've already played back this video twice already today. Thank you.
Insane... so good ! I've never seen them playing live... and like this..Thanx so much for posting.
A masterpiece... so precious!!! Thank you for uplading it!!!!!!

Amazing post WOW!!
Thank you very very much for posting this juwel of music.
All I can say is Neil and Buzz are a very creative combo that always hit it off just right with their improvisations and complementing each other as fantastic musicians since 1978 when jungle fever came out and the other albums which I have Are quite different than any other out at the time just so pleasing for the soul and thank you for putting this concert on here I continually enjoy it
I probably must have seen all the MI live shows during this period, their performance was one of the best. They gave me a lot of good influences.
I used to see the Larsen Feiten band back in the early 80's at The Central on Sunset Blvd. I also used to see The Yellowjeckets, Lee Ritenour, Robben Ford, The Dixie Dreggs, Spyro Gyra, and a whole host of other bands at places like "At My Place", "The Baked Potatoe", "Royce Hall", "Universal Ampitheatre", "Coach House", "Humphries", and other places during that same time period. It was a special time. But, the Larsen/Feiten Band was one of the best!
WOW! I have the 1st album but never saw them in concert. That boy Neil can play the keyboards and Buzz is superb. They played for a lot of other people but should have had a lot more success on their own.
James Keyes I also have their first lp. Great band.
One of the great mysteries........seriously, I hear so much of their influence in music that came after them.
Buzz is unreal...has it all....
Neils Larsen, Buzzy Feiten, are top notch musicians and this is a great show... Thanks for posting!
こんなのあったのか!多分1990年ころだよね。渋谷で見た時のメンバーと一緒だと思います。ホント’蔵出し’だな。
Such a great showcase of their unique style of fusion. Buzzy is one of the best if not the best guitarist that Ive ever heard, and I have heard many. Not really in the mainstream of pop, but Larsen Feiten continued to quietly put out some of the best music ever recorded. Loved their style.
so good!!!
holy shit im so amazed!!!!!
Only just come across this on here, great stuff!! Neil's Jungle Fever album is one of my all time favourites, it still gets played regularly by me, and it has not diminished in its qualities
Tremendo amigo, saludos
I booked fullmoon,..as the first album came out..
at Mt snow vermont..the best!
HOLY SHXXXT these boys are SICCCK!!! I knew the 1 song who will be the fool BUT i didnt know they were MONSTERS🔥🔥🔥
When other kids were listening to Poison I was listening to this. Guess I was different, lol.
MASTER!
HOT!!! Finally a video
Buzz might be my all time favorite musician
Découvert cet artiste début des années 1980 en même temps que le premier album des Yellowjackets. Depuis j'ai écumé toute la discographie jazz-rock et j'ai jamais trouvé mieux, sauf dans le classique.
Date of show - please!
One of the Great under appreciated bands ever. These guys were absolutely awesome musicians. Buzz Feiten is my all time favorite guitar player really musician period.Totally unique nobody played like him.
04:45 Amazing and beautiful solo
二ールがキーボード1台のみで演奏してるのは驚いた。しかし、貴重な映像ですね。
Hey Land! Great drums... lost contact so long ago, hope you're doing well! BM
this keyboard song/vibes reminds me Toom Brooks play in yamaha dmx7

Leny Castroooooooo !!!
I loved this band. I simply don't think anyone can match Buzz on the guitar. What phrasing, what chops, what total command of the instrument, what imaginative, complex, yet always highly musical lines. I honestly think no one is in his league. Carlton, Robben Ford, Lukather, all close, but just not there. Neil Larsen, a superb songwriter and a dynamite player as well. And the guys behind them smoke as well. My only complaint is the overly processed tone, and that Buzz never seems loud enough. I wish all of the synths would have been replaced with a nice B3 and that Buzz just played a high end amp. But they are such superlative musicians that you should be able to abstract from that.
I know what you mean, but Calrton is is equal when it comes to complex knowledge and application of Harmony and so is Robber...ditto Lukather...Dont get me wrong, I KNOW Buzz, I have known him for 35 years...In fact my closest pal Bassist Vernon Porter was the original bass player in Larsen Feiten band and taught Freddie Washington the bass parts....Vernon went on to work w/ Bette Midler, Kenny Loggins Dave Mason and eventually quit his role as a sideman to focus on his band "Above The Clouds" with sax legend Vince Denham
You should hear the bootleg stuff I have of Buzzy !....and yeah he and Lukather BOTH love that highly processed Tone...I have some boots of Lukather playing Miles Davis and Wayne Shorter tunes...
One night at the Spud I recorded
drums Carlos Vega
bass Nathan East
percussion: Lenny castro
Keyboards David Garfield
sax Brandon Fields
guitar Steve Lukather
Tunes included: "Paladium" by Wayne Shorter, Butterfly by Herbie Hancock, Donna" which is a great ballad by Garfield, a roaring blues shuffle and 2 other originals...Incandescent evening my man
and Freddie Hubbard was WATCHING !...Sanborn had sat in the night before...Its an amazing quality for a bootleg.
How would I get a copy of that bootleg? I'd love to hear it. Oh yeah, I don't want to take anything away from Carlton, Ford, and a very few others. They are absolutely outstanding and I dearly love them. But there was always something about Buzz that had him a hair ahead in my book (even though I'm not that fond of the highly processed tone). But that's purely a personal preference of which excellence do you favor at that point. I'm sure you've heard that Larsen album with Robben Ford. Really great stuff.
I agree with both you and MrLosguerreros regarding Buzz Feiten. I would add Eric Johnson to the mix also. The only difference is that Buzz didn't get the public attention that the others received and that is too bad as he certainly deserved it. However, ask any good musician about Buzz Feiten and they'll know exactly who and what you're referring to. Some of the best chops ever.
Frank Gambale, Allan Holdsworth
Totaly agree with you, they're all great amazing musicians , Larry , Lee, Robben, Alan, Al Di ..and many many more.. but Buzz has that something , I can't explain...I wish I could play guitar a bit like this.
what year was this recorded? It's great!
That must be an old concert - half the songs they played came from "Emerald City" ..... thank God they didn't leave off "Sudden Samba". Although on the album the time fluctuates a bit (not on purpose - either) Buzzy Feiten's guitar solo is so killer ... so killer - check out the studio version if you can find it. I had to order it from Japan.
So these guys in Woodstock Ny at the Expresso cafe 1969, loved them ever since
Anyone know the year this was recorded?
I do wish that Buzz wasn't so buried in the mix....but, overall, a great musical experience.
MASTER!! #SAKAMESE
What year was this from ??
I came here for Buzz Feiten and Neil Larsen, but the drum/percussion solo near the is nothing short of amazing. Anyone notice how often the drummer switches grips?
Lenny Castro Rules!
Land Richards on drums, whistle.
Does anyone know which keyboard is Neil's?
Outstanding without doubt but maybe it is good that more contemporary jazz/fusion oriented guitar sound has changed to a little more clean one. I don`t seem to hear the fine nuances of strings, flesh and no bullshit playing with all these layers of multi overdrive effects and chorus- delays on the guitar. Even so it is a great band, and Buzz and the rest play just great
From when & where is this? Unknown? And what's the line-up? Don't know 2/3's of the names Neil announces Ricky Martyr?? - bass Len Richards?? - drums Lenny Castro - perc.)
Where Smooth Talk ??
Love the bassist. Who is he?
28:18 Neil introduces Ricky Minor!
Does anyone know what keyboard Neil is playing? Amazing musician to get those sounds out of a I’m guessing a ‘80s synth.
Sounds like an ARP, like Tony Banks of Genesis. I did say sounds like. I'm not sure
sounds more like korg m1
Does anyone know the name of the tune that kicks in at 15:25 ?
I dont think it is one that they ever recorded ... very good reason to get back together ! What a great piece ..
Man , that's a killer tune !!
@@scotthickey2989 Amen!
I'm wondering about the date of this concert?
Looks like 1988 Or 89
The bass player is top notch too. Who is he?
Who are the other musicians?
38:00 The other members: Ricky Minor (bass), Land Richards (drums), Lenny Castro (percussions)
Can you believe that Neil Larsen doesn't even have a Wikipedia entry?
no I cannot
Its an eloquent testimony on the state of affairs, musically and culturally speaking in this country...I cant even get into it...the last 2 generations are DEAD, spiritually and creatively speaking...or rather "BANKRUPT"
ANY FOOL can call him/her self "an artist" these days, and invariably DO, a fact that is eloquently stated every time one turns on the Radio
he does now en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neil_Larsen
@@kaioaty Yes, that was a case of bad timing on my part. When I wrote the comment, there was no Wikipedia article on him. It appeared soon after.
@@neilwagner338 Bro, somebody read your comment and wrote the article. 😆👍🤝
Bass player hanging out the clothes line!
Who’s the drummer here? Good shit!
Land Richards, drums.
Lenny Castro, percussions
Ricky Minor, bass
Demonette :)
1:06:20
The whole band missed Buzz' beautiful set up coming out of his first solo. Too bad they weren't listening. Even the big boys mess up, here and there.
music critic ..
MUSICIANS=? YEAR?
The ones that I can see are Buzz Feiten - Guitar, Neil Larsen - Keyboard, Land Richards - Drums, Lenny Castro Percussion, Rickey Minor - Bass. Could it be late eighties/Early nineties??
Safe to assume there won't be any Metallica covers in this performance?
The great Ricky Minor messes-up the changes at 8:30. It can happen to anyone.
in a fight with yellow jackets ..... they win - in my heart and in my ears .........with no offence of yellow jackets ...... Larsen has got the same hair and voice as Daryl Hall .... ???
