TBH I sometimes completely forget due to not being used to it lmao.
The one thing that always messes me up is knowing when I'll get the big elevator to go up vs just making a hole in the ceiling above me
i think for the elevator the circle where the portal will be placed needs to be completely vertical or maybe there’s a color change, i’m not sure
There is a UI element next to the distance
elevator only spawns on a level flat surface. any curvature or angle will just be a hole.

Alter tac with her recon upgrade makes zipping in and out of cover with her a lot more useful due to being able to maintain invincibility for a while and being able to keep track of health

Alter crypto combo. Set off the emp and then go through portal as it is hitting the squad inside a building. They get stunned and take damage while you and your squad get in untouched
I main Wattson whilst my friend mains Alter, using fences and her ult is an insane tool for getting easy frags on chasers.
Wattson is a perfect counter for Alter IF you know how to fence quickly. Can’t tell y’all how many times I one clipped em as the tactical gives ample time to places fence perfectly in line to trap her.
Another cool one with her I use is when trying fight people on door throw an arc on your side before you to through and either you’ll get your one or they get hit and the door will break
Alters ability would be good- but only if they know how it works or if they ever use it. I save it for before i push so if my sweaty wraith or octane gets knocked i can pick them up before they DC
Putting it under peope when theybare above you can make them fall down if you pit it in the right spot, just need a good scan or luck
I feel like a lifeline paired with Alter can be very good as well, especially if they choose self revive perk
I think her passive is massively slept on
Another tip you didnt mention if your are playing with a 3 stack make sure to ask them what they need the most and in that case try to find those items on boddies aroud you

forgot to tell ... you can join enemy portal if the enemy go back to portal... you will see the door crackopening..that time you can portal to enemy and suprise them while reviving .. even you detroy the portal still left.
The useing her ult while knocked thing is my favorite part of her kit, but it seems like nobody knows they can even use her ult

Alter by far the most sick character there is, ever since season 21 launched I've been only playing her and having so much fun, in just 8 days plus i got already 3 thousand kills she's just too addictive got me staying up all night sleep for two hours and comeback to play that feeling i didn't have it for a min since season 8 when olympus map came . That and this season best one so far
The passion is high
Alter needs a mini HUD like Pathfinder's hook.
Her tactical feels clunky to use because u need to hold the key to aim it precisely
Somehow my teammates don't use the void nexus I placed down when they get knocked or any other situation where they should
The ult also depends on your teammates being smart enough to take it
Be careful enemies near by can use the portal too

My teammates never wanna take the alter ult when they are down. I even tell em they can take it when they are down and they still don't take it then get mad when they weren't revived in the middle of the open with people around
Love the vid, but had me at "let your teammates know which loot boxes to loot" I've been grinding since season 2 and EVERY tram I queue with are kids who'd rather shop all match than play as a team 😂
Are you above gold lobbies? Bc I never have that problem solo queuing but then again I usually just let the team decide what we do since I'm not a whiny bitch like a lot of people.
At 0:12 , I have never seen another Alter use her TAC to force enemy to teleport the opposite way. He couldve done that instead of going into the building himself
My main issue with alters ult is that nobody wants to use it.
I spam jump but never do the super jump. Do you need to have your crouch on hold or toggle for controller?
Caustic, Wattson and Alter traps and a get away forget me not trick
I try to use the knockdown and tell my teammates to go through it but they never do.

I have this bug where my teammates dont use my ultimate when downed
I have dis method I abuse wit her if an enemy is stock in a spot and they can move use her tactical to push them out of that spot and they will be in the open
You can kidnap people that are holding strong areas happen to me whike holding a rock they kidnapped me through the wall
If they go thru the portal would they get caught by Watson fence or will they faze thru

Bro kidnapping people is funny dropping in on people through ceilings or walls to. U can us her tax to rotate through walls and even thick ones if u get the right angle. Pair with seer makes kidnapping easier

Ppl don’t use nexus it’s like they don’t know what it is or does they get pushed and would rather fight alone than reset or get knocked and just sit there expecting someone to go to them but my experience in gold

Also a good trick you missed you can portal a floor or wall throw a nade then straight back out.
Not everyone knows everything you know.
Her ult takes far too long to use also you have to look at it to use it so when your downed you often have to turn your back to the enemy so your super easy to thirst without having your knockdown to protect you
If you're that separated from your team that they have time to focus on thirsting you then you were probably going to get thirsted anyways is how I look at it

Can any of her teammates open the portal?
Yeah, any person on the team can look at it, hold their interact button, and it'll teleport them. A few seconds later it will also open up a little rift where it was activated that anyone, part of the team or not, can use to follow. Also each individual player can only activate the portal/ult once until a new one is placed. If you teleport to the portal, you can't teleport to the same one again

Her ult is useless unless you've been sniped and are a mile away from your team. Anyone worth a grain of salt won't let you spent 5 minutes with your knockdown shield down activating her ult.

Yeah you're acting like they actually use the ability I have had multiple matches where my teammates are down and I throw the ult and ping it and they don't take it. They just sat there for like 30 seconds then proceeded to call me ass then leave. I think I've had less than 10 randoms actually use my ult
They need to add a cap on how far down alter’s tactical goes down from height. Being able to get up anywhere for free seems a bit broken

Or, maybe they don't have to nerf Alter, but rather buff weak legends.
Alter is not broken. And it is not for free since control legends make it very hard for her to do her thing from breaching perspective. Also if you are running or just positioning that tactical doesn’t guarantee any safety, multiple people can follow and make quick work of you, like revs paths and octanes

They're also slowed and their vision is reduced. It's very easy to beam someone when they move the speed of a snail. He's also fortified and can block doors with his gadget. Plus the damage builds up and the gas shouldn't be the only thing damaging them
