I give Andrew Henderson credit. This may be the best Saylor interview I've seen. He didn't ask once what Bitcoin's price would be in 2021.

Hmmm....I agree, I see the real value of these cryptos is understanding what they are able to do.
I think Andrew is smart enough to realize that it doesn’t matter. Speculation on price in a failing currency is meaningless. I am very happy he didn’t waste time with a question like that.

I’m a nomad. Originally from Europe, then moved to New Zealand, and finally to Australia.
3 passports, but now I’m stuck here in Australia due to the travel ban.
They can’t prevent me taking my bitcoin with me anywhere in the world but turns out they can physically stop me from leaving the country 😞 An immobile nomad is a very sad nomad.
A solution to alternative international travel is coming.

@@bfwarner It all depends on the time scale you're thinking in. It might drop 80% in the time frame of 6 months but still be up 280% in the time frame of a year. Saylor himself said he's thinking in terms of 20+ years
@@bfwarneryou're talking about leverage trading. You can structure a loan with Bitcoin as collateral, where the price is not marked to market every minute of the day. That way, you can add more collateral, to keep your loan in good shape. It's also why you shouldn't borrow against more than 5-10% of your BTC stack.
I have to add that I've seen a few of the Michael Saylor videos, and I like the part in this one where he talks about how all those families in Manhattan got wealthy through the generations. Taking loans against assets without capital gains. We are getting an insight here as to how the wealthy think. This guy is friggin king dude.

Saylor started MicroStrategy (early 90's, not '99 like he says) before the BI phenomenon started. They compete against Oracle, Microsoft, IBM, Panorama, Tableau, Cognos, Business Objects, ... I am a BI specialist. Saylor is a one heck of a businessman.

I love Saylor. He’s honest. Inherently honest. And THANK YOU for 1) asking about his background beyond his business history and 2) zeroing in on what converted Saylor’s opinion. This was a no bullshit answer and no ego inflation answer. This is why I think we really need Saylor around in this world. We need to keep honest rational intelligent people speaking about finance, to counter these Big Heads and Posing Low Brain Yakkers who can’t see the forest for the tree in front of them. do u think there will be banks to deposit BTC as fixed time deposit in return they give % of annual interest or get loans based on deposited btc?

I began watching this video already knowing that it was going to be great and didn't plan on watching the whole thing because I figured it was going to simply solidify and re-affirm a bunch of good things that were well integrated into the person I currently am. This was certainly delivered, but on top of that was a tidal wave of pure positive force, sharp wit, and extreme intelligence. My awareness of time was gone, what an engrossing experience. This one's definitely worth multiple viewings. These two are certainly positive role models of the highest caliber.

Two of my favorite voices!......im wayyyy down on the tote'em pole, but ive got the nomad(ish) bug, and determined to make it work even at my rather humble level.....i do believe ninja skills cross all borders, so i look for those tips under every rock, and especially in places where "i think i don't fit in".....ha.....btw, i LOVE that NC has a thread of a simple minimalism, of "sufficiency" over extravagance, blended in......a type of "efficiency" that may not be obvious to others, but which is my own rock it fuel......

But how do I pay the loan plus interest without income?
@@Chiro_ASMR one way would be loan out some of your crypto that isn’t being used for collateral and pay the loan with the interest from the BTC you loaned out. Or deposit some of your crypto in an interest bearing account and pay the loan with that interest. Either way you never sell your BTC.

the comparison of bitcoin being Manhattan and viewing it as buying up city blocks makes sense. Adding on that you can buy these properties and hold them and pass them on to future generations really hit home for me. Thanks for this insight.
