  • Hello and welcome back. We’ve just come back from another lovely family holiday at the beautiful Mareblue Beach Resort.
This video was taken one early morning and so there are very few people about if any. This was done on purpose to show the hotel in its full glory and avoid distraction.
Firstly let me say that the resort is absolutely beautiful. It’s in a lovely secluded area of North Corfu.
It isn’t really in close walking distance to a town but there is a shuttle on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays which can take you to Acharavi or Kassiopi. These are €5 pp. If you wanted to take a taxi it’s £12 each way to either of these local towns.

When you first arrive at the hotel you’ll find a little shop to the left of the main entrance. But, before you rush to buy your inflatables there is another shop a short walk along to the beach where the inflatables are cheaper. (Take a left out of the gates at the bottom of the resort by the pool and walk a short distance to the bigger beach where the shop and Finikas beach bar are)
Finikas is a lovely little bar right on the beach. They also let the beach bathers use their toilet when spending the day at the beach.

Photography:- You will no doubt meet one of the hotel’s photographers. Mike is absolutely lovely and great with kids during a photo shoot.
We had a lovely family shoot around the grounds and then on the beach at sunset. However, one thing to be aware of is that they are expensive.
A set of 60 photos (comes with an album of 20 printed photos, a photo book, mug, 2 key rings and 2 magnets and I believe digital copies of all 60 photos) this will set you back €490. They won’t tell you the price until after your shoot when you’re at their hub at the main building the following day to look at your photos.
We said we only wanted digital copies and not all the bumf that came with it and ended up with 22 digital photos that we paid €156 for. (This isn’t an option they give you. We were prepared to walk away when we managed to get this).

Emergency docs: We unfortunately had to call the doctor our one evening for our son. The call out was €150. This can be claimed back on your travel insurance but will have to be paid upfront to the doc.
We needed antibiotics and ear drops which only came to €10.46.

The hotels small beach has some beach beds which are free however at the time of our holiday that beach was covered with seaweed. We spent our beach days on the bigger beach next to the bar and shop. Here you can hire speed boats, slide peddalos and beach beds with parasols. 2 beds and a parasol is €12 for the day and we just left our towels on then when we went back to the hotel for lunch. Returning to them after.

All in all we had a fantastic time and I would thoroughly recommend the hotel. The staff are always very helpful and friendly. The rooms are cleaned every day except Sundays and new towels are provided daily.
There was a great range of food choices and lunch could be had at the main restaurant or pool bar (the pizza is lovely at the pool bar)
