The case is very compact but the price is just to high for what you get. Not even a riser cable come on Velka that is another 50-80 bucks making the total between 250-300. The a4 h2O even if a tad bigger is the better deal. when the c4 v2 from dan comes out early 2024 definitely check it out 👌
I agree. It’s built from lots of individual pieces of metal, so must be cheap to manufacture. It also looks really basic, and kind of AliExpress vibes

Nice vid mate. Build quite a few portable rigs in the older versions. Have to say that the 3.0 is really classy. Some very cool QOL improvements across the board from screws to mounting hole placements. Love the ability to use top DP ports too.

My main gaming PC is in a Meshlicious, which looks similar to the Velka 7 - however a good bit larger, due to a 280mm AIO.
My secondary PC is in a DAN A4. I love SFF!

Just got my Velka 7 Rev. 3 and I LOVE it. However, PSU cable management is a drag. Recommendations for Cable Lengths for 24 Pin, 2x 6+2 GPU, and CPU cables?
Where did you source the internal display connectors from? Looking to build in this case also in the UK.
btw how did you close the front panel so effortlessly. mine is a real pain in the ass.

hello, i am going to use a 4070FE, and the velka 7 2.1, i am wondering if the DP1.4 and HDMI2.1 you used will still work fine on my build? it should, just want to make sure before i order.
I'm can't say for sure. I'd suggest reaching out to Michael at Velkase via email or webform on his site to be sure.
It doesn't appear that Velka offers any DisplayPort or HDMI Extension cables on their site as this revision doesn't come with any in-box. Do you know where I can by some?

would you reccomend this or the velka 5 rev 3 for a 4070 build? what do you think about this case compared to 2.1?
I'd recommend Velka 7, but Velka 5 will also work well for none flow through cooler designs and FE cards

Does it actually feels like an improvement over previous version? I'm not sold over the look of the textured powder coated galvanized steel.
Mechanically and functionally, yes. Aesthetically, for me, no. This is probably subjective, tho. I definitely prefer the premium feel of v2.1.
@@L91 after thorough inspection and consideration, I decided to get the v3. The horizontal GPU offset seems like a pretty big deal.

Great review. Do you really need GPU outputs? I believe if use motherboard display output, you would still be utilizing dGPU in addition to the iGPU
Most motherboards don't support PCIe tunneling. It is important to note that even if your motherboard does have it you are going to take a performance hit utilizing it compared to plugging the monitor directly into the dGPU.
I tried with my B650i, doesnt seem to have any noticeable performance difference.
what are the main differences to the prior versions?

Unfortunately not, it's 50mm or 2.5 slots wide as are almost all 4070 Ti Super cards. I recommend looking at 4070 Super cards
Inno3D GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER TWIN X2 is the only 4070 Ti super which will fit as a 2 slot
Is it just me or does $200usd seem expensive for a pressed steel case with a fairly simple design?
I wouldn't call it simple design personally, but yeah, the price seems a little high, giving what I'm guesing is lower production cost vs. v2.

Honestly I regret buying the velka 7 v2, and the v3 doesn't seem to improve much at all for the insane price.
I think im probably going for a zsa4v2

@@Killua131312 at this price point, most other cases are made from 100% CNC aluminum alloy. but since velka is the only one who does cases with this layout, they probably can charge as much as they want.
According to Tom's Hardware, the 4070 is outperformed by the 3080 Ti at 1440p ultra, DLSS off. The 3080 Ti Founders will fit in a Velka 7.
It will, though I wouldn't personally recommend it. It will run very toasty and need heavy undervolting or tweaking and still runs hot tmk. 4070 FE will work fine out of the box in Velka 7.
@@L91 I'd drop it in without modification, based on success with an untweaked 3080 Founders in a Velka 7 rev 2.1 and the small 30W TDP difference between the cards. It's a matter of preference, I think. I'd rather run small and hot than move to a larger case or a weaker card.

People Don't appreciate that the 40 series can perform as good as last gen while using alot less power. So they run cooler too.
Way too expensive for what is essentially just a few prices of metal.
