I'm thinking about setting up a GoFundMe page in order to come up with the money to pay for a professional bed bug exterminator to come out and deal with my moms bed bug infestation. We don't have the money to do this on our own. Mr Dusty if it's an emergency GoFundMe and we don't know exactly the time frame what would you want to have the raising of funds what do we do especially when emergency that surrounds losing a home and property and worry about being without when someone dies suddenly and they're the sole bread winner what do they do could you please reply I appreciate it

hello, im trying to raise funds for an orphanage for when I go on a missions trip there. I am trying to get the kids clean water, an oven and kitchen tools as well as school supplies. are you allowed to post fundraisers to a set charity? they will offer receipts for any donation over $40. I'm trying to get them to change that to $20 but I need to know if that is an issue?
Can you expand on the idea of having to meet a threshold? I already have my gofundme set up and have raised some money but I still have a way to go to reach my goal. For some reason gofundme has sent me 2 emails saying they are sending me partial amounts but I don’t know why these amounts are being sent. And both of those amounts are less than half of what I’ve raised. I’m just trying to get more clarity on how to access these funds and was surprised to find out there is no customer service support over the phone. They just have a chat feature. So I did that initially but then it said to get further help I had to pay??? Are you able to help me further?

A question for you, I was thinking of setting up a fund for a limited income friend living in an old Mobile Home whose furnace unexpectedly broke, winter is coming and it's a big unexpected expense. My question is: 1) Will she eventually get a tax form (from the website?) to pay income taxes on the amount received from fundraising? If yes, I will increase the amount needed to hopefully cover the taxes as well as the cost of the furnace. Thanks.

@@jamescooper9537 Where did I say THAT? Don't be a jerk. My husband is a Master Plumber, this woman in need is a good friend of ours who is on disability. The furnace she needs to replace the one that died is just over $3,000. She doesn't have that kind of money on hand. Her credit rating is not good either so could not get a loan. My husband got the price down as cheap as he could for her. She wants to survive the winter with HEAT, as she also cares for an elderly man in his 80's that also can't freeze. No scam involved. She is currently using 2 space heaters we got her, and it's going down to 18 degrees later this week, hope her pipes don't freeze or things could get much worse. No one is asking for an endless "steady supply of money" all we want is to raise enough money for her to buy the electric furnace for the mobile home.
an egyptian living in Egypt and my wife is American she has been living here in egy with we've been working online as medical transcriptionist for bout 10 yrs. Which barely covers living expenses. Unfortunately, a few months ago, she was diagnosed with Ms, the progressive type. we need to move back to the States and fix her delayed tax/get handicap/medaids, etc...a sap. sadly, we don't have the means to do so or even get out of here. She feels embarrassed, but I see no other way, and I don't want to lose her! Will you help?

I think it’s just regular taxes. If you get $50 I think you have to pay the state or whatever $10 or something like that.
How do you reach people without a fan base? We are private seeking help publicly.

HI Dusty I am trying to find a way to set up a go fund me for my brothers Special Olympics polar plunge. I have never set anything up like this before I would just go around town to help him raise the money. But this year I am trying to help him set a record so when he does his jump they will say in memory of are dad who passed away this last spring. With that said my little brother also has special needs and are dad was a couch and a BIG supporter of the Special Olympics. I don't know how to make it so the money would go right to them or if I would have to have it go to me then I put it over to the Special Olympics.
