It's not just young people. I left as a 60yo. Here's what we know about humans in groups. A group setting with synchronized movement and music has the effect of neutralizing your executive functioning. That's the area of the brain for reasoning. Your brain will also become bathed in both dopamine (the happy hormone) and oxytocin (the bonding hormone). This was a useful thing in tribal settings where followers needed to go along and get along. But that's not useful today. So the question is: Do you want to be a herd animal?

Well, I don't believe that a group setting like the obe you mentioned has the effect of neutralising your ability to reason and make logical conclusions. That's not true neither can it be proven Scientifically. In actual fact, science has proved that participation in religious communities, including Christian fellowships, can have positive effects on cognitive function and reasoning abilities.
There is a study that found individuals who were more engaged in religious activities tending to perform better on cognitive tests.
Specifically, those who attended religious services frequently and participated in religious groups had better reasoning skills and memory compared to those who were less involved.
One possible explanation is the social support and stimulation that comes from being part of a religious community. Regular participation in Christian fellowship provides social interaction, intellectual stimulation through discussions, and emotional support.
These factors can contribute to reduced stress, improved emotional well-being, and better cognitive function, including logical reasoning.
As for your question, yes, man in his original form wasn't created to be alone. He was created to be a social herd, yes a herd animal.
I guess by herd animal, you metaphorically are describing people who tend to follow the crowd or conform to social norms. Well again, we as Christians are only to conform to God's standard according to his word not any societal norm.
It will do you all shades of goodness to get back to the gathering of brethren. There are no isolated Christians sir

A lot is happening in some churches in Quotes, which is not appealing to doctrine. Though it's important to attend the gathering of Brethren!
